Signature & Cultural Events Coordinator

This position reports to the Director of Student Engagement and is responsible for the planning and preparation of University Commencement ceremonies and Graduation Resource Fair each semester and monitoring the budget for all four UWGB campuses (Green Bay, Marinette, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan). This position will also lead and coordinate culturally focused programs such as Hispanic Heritage Month, Black History Month, and other key cultural programs. This position will be responsible for facilitating programming that supports the University’s goals regarding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. This position will work, in collaboration with others, to create a safe and inclusive environment for all UW Green Bay students where all feel a sense of place and pride.

Provides subject matter expertise in the development and execution of programs within the scope of student learning and development. Organizes the facilitation and development of curriculum design for on-going and new educational initiatives. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Building Supervisor (Manitowoc Campus)

he Building Supervisor is a working supervisory position reporting to the Building & Grounds Manager of the Sheboygan and Manitowoc campuses. This position supervises and assists the assigned staff, including custodians and maintenance technicians, in the cleaning and maintenance of the buildings and grounds.  Communication with the Building & Grounds Manager will happen daily, implementing scheduled maintenance, checklists and monitoring the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, windows, doors, alarms and lighting.  This position maintains inventory on site across facilities areas, reports inventory needs to Building & Grounds Manager for resupply.

The incumbent will be a working supervisor, while providing leadership to their staff in all areas daily to ensure operating needs of the campus are completed.  This position works closely with campus administration, staff, and faculty on needs and questions as they arise, to ensure cooperation across departments.  Job duties are performed with minimum direction.

Custodian (1st Shift) – Open to UW System Employees Only

This position reports to the Custodial Services Supervisor and maintains the overall appearance and cleanliness of the designated work area.  Work performed in this position includes manual cleaning and maintenance of UWGB buildings.  General areas of responsibility include: cleaning offices, restrooms, and other building areas; maintaining all floor surfaces including mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, and refinishing; cleaning windows (inside and outside); cleaning furniture; assisting with furniture, piano and equipment moves as required; stocking restrooms and custodial work areas with necessary supplies and products; waste and recycling removal; snow removal and salting of building entrances. This position will be required to drive a State vehicle and travel between work locations as needed.

On Monday, March 06, 2023, Stephen Knudstrup started as a Service Desk Lead with the IT Tech Support Services department.

Stephen’s preferred name is Steve and his last name is pronounced Ka-nude-strup. His preferred pronouns are he/him/his. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech, where he also worked for almost 5 years.

He would like to share that his family consists of his Mon, Dad, and sister, who all live in his hometown of Appleton, WI. He enjoys watching hockey and trying new restaurants. Steve is excited to join the team here at UWGB!

On Thursday, March 02, 2023, Maya Boren started as an Applications Administrator II with the Registrar office.

Maya’s preferred pronouns are she/they and her name is pronounced My-uh.

Her educational background includes graduating from University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is working towards a Master’s degree in Student Affairs at Marquette University. Prior to working at UW-Green Bay, she worked at Marquette University for 5 years.

She also would like to share that her hometown is Greendale, WI and that she has two cats at home named John and Beep, which are her favorite things in the entire world.

March Madness Challenge

This Challenge can be completed by picking activities from 4 different categories and completing them, then choosing which activity you would like to advance to the next round.

This position reports to the Academic Advising Manager in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology and engages students in decision making processes and promotes appropriate and responsible choices on academic matters such as course selection and degree requirements. Maintains appropriate confidentiality, updates student advising records, and contributes to the development and delivery of academic advising related events and programs. Works to ensure students receive accurate, timely, and holistic advising services in support of promoting student success, retention, and program completion.
