Admissions Advisor (Assigned To Marinette/Upper Michigan Territory)

This position reports to the Director of Admissions and implements a comprehensive recruitment plan designed to enrich the campus community by attracting and enrolling a diverse student body. Recruit students and provide support for prospects as they progress through the admissions process. Advise on academic planning, programs, requirements, and campus resources. Coordinate and attend recruitment events to increase brand awareness and to build a diverse recruitment pipeline. Assist in identifying, communicating, and implementing vital recruitment strategies targeting diverse populations, in an effort to enhance and grow the University’s student body. Recruit and serve within the designated territory. Work to enhance UW-Green Bay’s recruitment efforts and create an environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs and cultural backgrounds. The Admissions Counselor is assigned to the Marinette/Upper Michigan Territory and will be recruiting for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s four campuses with special focus on the Marinette and Main campuses.

Groundskeeper

This position reports to the Grounds Supervisor and performs groundskeeping duties to maintain, renovate, and improve the campus landscape and surrounding areas.  Responsibilities include care, pruning, fertilizing, mowing, and maintenance of turf, woody plants, and trees on the campus.  Assist in asphalt repairs on campus roads, trails, and parking lots. This position must safely operate all grounds related equipment, turf equipment, and snow removal equipment and possess skills to perform general maintenance, and assist grounds mechanics in repairs of all types of equipment, trucks, and cars. Knowledge and safe operating skills of different types and sizes of chainsaws is required. This position requires knowledge of best pest management practices, and the ability to safely apply pesticides, and herbicides. Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, assist with training, and direction of 8-10 part time employees, including students, volunteers, and University Staff Temporary employees.

Archives Assistant (70% Appointment)

This position reports to the University Archivist and supports the University Archives and Area Research Center by providing: research services to patrons and assisting in the management of the Archives departmental operations. This position will contribute to various aspects of tasks associated with the access and management of the archival collections. In addition, this position will assist the University Archivist in developing departmental procedures as well as providing support for department outreach initiatives.  In the absence of the Archivist, this position will assume responsibility for the welfare and operations of the Archives and Area Research Center. In carrying out these duties, the employee works with a great deal of independence and must apply archival and research expertise and judgment to a wide range of circumstances and situations. The Archives is a high energy and busy customer service department in which the employee will provide services to many campus departments as well as the greater community.

Information Specialist (Sheboygan Campus)

This position reports to the Campus Executive Officer and works in the UW Green Bay Sheboygan Campus Solution Center to assist clients (i.e., enrolled and prospective students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public) with routine transactions and inquiries, educate clients about university policies, procedures and resources, advise clients about alternative courses of action, and work collaboratively with other university offices and external agencies on behalf of clients to expedite problem resolution. The Information Specialist is the first campus contact and therefore highly visible with high regard for customer service. This position responds proactively to phone, e-mail and in-person inquiries and transactional requests by clarifying the request, diagnosing the problem, researching the resolution, taking action on the request, and following up as appropriate. Specialists must have a strong understanding and knowledge base of the campus protocols and be cross-trained in admissions, recruitment, advising, financial aid, accessibility, student/academic conduct and veteran affairs. In addition, this position make recommendations to Enrollment Services on procedural and/or business practice improvements and help track customer service metrics to continuously improve student services and satisfaction. Specialists perform all the duties of a Student Affairs professional, consistent with institutional, division, and departmental mission, vision and values.

Marketing Manager

This position reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and University Communications with a dotted line reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Continuing Education and Community Engagement. This position will oversee marketing plans and develop campaigns for the University with a priority given to meeting the needs of the Division of Continuing Education and Community Engagement. As a liaison to the Division, the Marketing Manager will support a range of marketing and operational projects for the University’s four campuses, requiring both strategic and tactical marketing skills for traditional and new channels. The Marketing Manager is expected to be proactive, outgoing, organized, collaborative and detail-oriented, while also possessing excellent oral and written communication skills. The Division serves participants of all ages through courses, workshops, camps, conferences, events, services and credit and non-credit programs throughout the State of Wisconsin and beyond. Targeted audiences include health and human services practitioners, assisted living facilities, caregivers, educators, youth, government agencies, business professionals, among others. The Marketing Manager will provide entrepreneurial marketing for all facets involved in building sustainable programming and collaborative partnerships.

Power Plant Operator in Charge (Open to UW System Employees Only)

This position reports to the Power Plant Superintendent and has the primary responsibility to maintain all of the heat/chill plant in good working order as well as all condensate return mains and high pressure steam traps on campus. Schedule operators shifts and vacations. Help out at residence life. Act as back up to supervisor and assign work to other employees.

Budget Analyst

This position reports to the Budget Director and will serve in a role to support continuous informed decision-making by the University’s leadership in the allocation of financial, physical, and human resources. The Budget and Financial Analyst will provide managers and divisional leaders with budget and other financial related information required to develop the annual operating budget as part of the incentive based budget model. As a key contributor to the budget and finance team, this position plays a central role in key strategic budget planning, the development of annual and quarterly forecasting and financial modeling.

This position works closely with divisional and area leaders to align and allocate resources with strategic and operational planning decisions and to develop long-term planning mechanisms to ensure achievement of goals and priorities. This position works collaboratively with departments across the university to provide financial and administrative expertise to department heads in within Academic Affairs, Business and Finance, Student Affairs, Athletics and University Advancement to implement and comply with organizational strategies and policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with planning, developing, and coordinating fiscal management matters of the University’s operating and capital budgets, long-range financial planning, modeling and analysis; develop supporting documentation for the strategic operating budget and incentive based budget model processes.

Grant Writer/Proposal Coordinator

This position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and works from the Office of Grants and Research (OGR) with members of the campus community to identify funding opportunities and secure awards from public and private extramural sources to advance faculty scholarship, student success, and institutional initiatives.
