October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In this episode listen to President and CEO of Sojourner Family Peace Center, Carmen Pitre, talk. Sojourner is Wisconsin’s largest service provider for families dealing with domestic violence (DV), providing crisis housing, system advocacy and individual support to women, children, and families across the state. Carmen dives into current DV trends, how we might recognize this is happening, some best practices to approach someone who may be in need, and resources available in Wisconsin.

October 11th Well Wisconsin Incentive Deadline

Earn your $150 Well Wisconsin Program incentive* by completing a health assessment, health check, and one well-being activity by October 11, 2024.

  1. Health Assessment: Log into the WebMD website and answer the assessment questions online. The assessment will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
  2. Health Check: Choose from the options below to complete this requirement:
    • Biometric Screening: Check the WebMD website for clinics located near you.
    • Health Care Provider Form: Report your height, weight, and blood pressure from a visit with your health care provider. Your health care provider does not need to sign this form.
    • Preventive Dental Exam: Get a dental cleaning and report it through the WebMD website.
    • Health Coaching Call: Discuss your current health with a WebMD health coach, set well-being goals and explore solutions to help you attain your goals.
  3. Well-Being Activity: Select a WebMD activity, complete it, and report it through the WebMD website.

Once you have earned your incentive, you can choose to receive your gift card electronically or mailed to the address you have on file with the UW System.

* You and your spouse are eligible to earn the $150 Well Wisconsin Program incentive if you are enrolled in the State Group Health Insurance Program.

Assistant Coach – Men’s Basketball

This position reports to the Head Coach of Men’s Basketball and assist the head coach with all facets of running a successful Division I program.  Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with administration, faculty, staff and student-athletes.  Comply with all NCAA, Horizon League, UW System and UW-Green Bay rules and regulations.  Display professional sportsmanlike conduct during athletic events.

This episode Dr. Roopa Shah, a board-certified family medicine physician, who has served patients in the Madison, WI area for more than 20 years. Dr Shah discusses these three conditions, what causes them to occur, and treatment options. She also shares how these conditions are connected as part of a progression of allergic diseases from infancy to adulthood known as the allergic (or atopic) march, the likelihood of this occurring, and if there are steps you can take to stop the progression.

2024 Register for Flu Clinic

Protect yourself this flu season by getting your annual flu vaccination!

The Well Wisconsin Program is offering workplace flu clinics.

Flu vaccinations are free and voluntary for all site employees and spouses who are enrolled in the State of Wisconsin Insurance Program.

    • You will be required to present your medical ID card at the flu clinic.
    • After you register for your appointment online, your next step will be to complete the digital consent form.
    • A link to the digital consent form will be available on the appointment confirmation page and in your confirmation email.

DATE: Wednesday October, 23, 2024

TIME: 8:00 am to 9:30 am

LOCATION: Phoenix Rooms

The vaccination will protect against the four most likely causes of flu illness during the upcoming season.

The vaccine is preservative-free.

The vaccine is not recommended for the following individuals:

    • Those allergic to eggs or egg product.
    • Those who have an active neurological disorder.
    • Those with a fever, acute respiratory or other active infection or illness.

CRM Application Administrator (1 Year Temporary)

This position reports to Director of Enterprise Applications. The CRM Application Administrator is responsible for configuring, integrating, administering, and providing advanced and varied consultation, project management, and operational support of highly complex applications or services with a large number of users. This position anticipates issues and devises resolution methodology to support the business operations of the institution.

This position will report to the Information Technology Division but will work collaboratively with multiple areas that utilize CRM technology, including Continuing Education, Enrollment Services, Graduation Studies and the Weidner Center. This position will act as the liaison between the Information Technology Business Analyst and the functional users for each department.  Specific job duties will include leading end-user meetings, ensuring collaboration between departments, providing training and functional end-user support.

Assistant Director of Recreation, Fitness, & Wellbeing

This position reports to the Director of University Recreation and coordinates and manages complex operations and program components as well as serves as the Deputy Director of UREC. The operational component includes, but is not limited to primary oversight of the UREC Front Desk and membership operations; lead department marketing and assessment initiatives; coordinating aspects of facility operations involving policy, schedule, risk management, security and safety; programming oversight fitness/wellness and wellbeing components; and personnel management.  Works cooperatively with other professional staff and students in accomplishing operational, programmatic, service and student development goals along with supporting the departmental strategic initiatives.  The position will work to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all UW-Green Bay students where all feel a sense of place and pride.

The position reports to the Associate Athletics Director  – Business Operations. Primary responsibilities include oversight of all aspects and daily operations of the ordering, receiving, distribution and accounting for equipment and apparel purchases with the corporate sponsorship/Adidas contract for the Athletic Department.  This position will also assist with the Athletic Department financial operations including but not limited to expense reimbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing card processing.
