Welcome Mitchel Brock!

On Monday, March 20, 2023, Mitchel Brock started as a Department Assistant with the Behavioral Health Training Partnership department.

Mitchel’s preferred pronouns are he/him/his.

His educational background includes a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from UW-Green Bay.

He would like to share that he grew up in Suamico, Wisconsin. In his spare time, Mitchel is a budding writer and poet hoping to be published. He enjoys seeing theatrical performances in his spare time. He likes to read, listen to music, and cherish time spent with family. He was recently made an uncle when his brother’s wife had a baby girl!

Welcome Caitlyn Cheslock!

On Monday, March 13, 2023, Caitlyn Cheslock started as a Student Success Coach, Rising Phoenix with the Student Access & Success department.

Caitlyn’s preferred pronouns are she/her/hers and she pronounces her name as Kate-Lin.

Prior to starting here at UW-Green Bay, she served as the Director of Social and Emotional Wellness for the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh for 1.5 years and as a School Counselor for seven years, primarily in Catholic schools in the Milwaukee area. her educational background includes a Master of Science in Counseling with a School Counseling emphasis from Mount Mary University and a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with a minor in Spanish from the University of Minnesota.

She would like to share that she grew up in Seymour, Wisconsin and loves traveling and learning about cultures other than her own. She is also a huge foodie and loves trying new foods and restaurants. She enjoys road trips, reading, meditation, genealogy, writing creative short stories, spending time with her family, and helping others.

She is involved in her church, with the Pulse Young Professional Network’s Restaurant Club through the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, and as an associate in training for the School Sisters of Notre Dame. She also enjoys volunteering and her most recent volunteer experience was with World Relief Fox Valley, where she transported newly arrived people to medical appointments.

Welcome Stephen Knudstrup!

On Monday, March 06, 2023, Stephen Knudstrup started as a Service Desk Lead with the IT Tech Support Services department.

Stephen’s preferred name is Steve and his last name is pronounced Ka-nude-strup. His preferred pronouns are he/him/his. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech, where he also worked for almost 5 years.

He would like to share that his family consists of his Mon, Dad, and sister, who all live in his hometown of Appleton, WI. He enjoys watching hockey and trying new restaurants. Steve is excited to join the team here at UWGB!

Welcome Maya Boren!

On Thursday, March 02, 2023, Maya Boren started as an Applications Administrator II with the Registrar office.

Maya’s preferred pronouns are she/they and her name is pronounced My-uh.

Her educational background includes graduating from University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is working towards a Master’s degree in Student Affairs at Marquette University. Prior to working at UW-Green Bay, she worked at Marquette University for 5 years.

She also would like to share that her hometown is Greendale, WI and that she has two cats at home named John and Beep, which are her favorite things in the entire world.

Welcome Patricia Schevers!

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Patricia Schevers started as an Education Outreach Executive Manager with the Housing & Residential Education department.

Patricia’s preferred pronouns are she/her/hers and her preferred first name is Patti. She would like to share that she pronounces this as P AE T-iy- † † English pronunciation guide: P as in “pea (P.IY)” ; AE as in “at (AE.T)” ; T as in “tee (T.IY)” ; IY as in “eat (IY.T)”

Her educational background includes graduating from NWTC with her associate degree in May 2020, transferring to UWGB in Fall 2020, and graduating with her bachelor’s degree in December 2022. Prior to working at UW-Green Bay, she worked with Salvation Army Kroc Community Center.

For community involvement, she would like to share that she is a strong proponent of education, experiences, and inclusivity. In her time at the Kroc Center, she headed up all special events for the community and notable events included International & Community Festival and Senior Life Expo. Additionally, she has been a Volunteer Coordinator for the Oneida Nation Bird Monitoring Project since it began in 2021 (a partnership with NEW Audubon, UWGB, and the Oneida Nation) and is a Conservation Coach for Wisconsin Women in Conservation (WiWiC).

She also would like to share that her hometown is Oneida, WI and that she lives with her partner, son, and mom. She also has two dogs, two goats, a flock of chickens, and a hive of bees. She is a lover of nature and spends a great deal of time outside on her family’s Centurian farm, which she and her partner have transformed into a conservation restoration. She is also grateful to be here, to continue contributing to the community, building upon her existing relationships, and forging new partnerships with all.
