Welcome Nicholas Lauer!

On Monday, August 15, 2022, Nicholas Lauer started as Assistant Director – Residential Education with the Housing and Residential Education department.

Previously he worked at UW‐River Falls as a Hall Director for 5 years, Luther College as a Hall Director for 3 years, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota as a Hall Director for 3 years, and at Thorp Catholic School as a 4th grade teacher (2 years)and a 8th grade teacher (1 year).

He loves watching movies (both in the comforts of his home and in the theater), playing board games and card games, and musical theater.

Nicholas has an educational background of attending UW‐River Falls (BS in Elementary Education) and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (MA in Human Development).

His hometown is Stanley, WI. He and his partner Adam live on‐campus with their dog Skip, a German‐
Shorthaired Pointer/Border Collie Mix.
