Area Coordinator

The Area Coordinator position assists in carrying out the mission and philosophy of the Office of Residence Life. The Office of Residence Life provides housing for 2,100 students during the academic year and 2,500 guests during the summer. The Area Coordinator (AC) is responsible for overseeing a community of approximately 400 residents; and with the help of Resident Assistants (RAs), strives to develop and maintain a safe, enjoyable, supportive and inclusive living environment for residents where they can achieve academic success and personal growth and development. The AC is a member of the Residence Life team and holds administrative responsibilities, participates in committees and meetings, and serves students in a multitude of ways. The AC reports to the Assistant Director; and assumes additional responsibilities assigned by and makes recommendations to the Director.

Camps and Conferences Manager

The Camps and Conferences Manager reports to the Director of Continuing Professional Education, and coordinates and manages the planning and execution of summer camps, lifestyle programs for adults, and conference support in the Office of Outreach and Extension. In addition, this position is the liaison and supervises the Learning in Retirement program. The Camps and Conferences Manager is responsible for the hiring and supervision of seasonal employees, students, volunteers, and camp instructors. This position also supervises two University staff members who provide support to the programs.

Macintosh Administrator / HouseIT Manager

The Macintosh Administrator / HouseIT Manager works under the general supervision of the CIT User Support Manager to provide support for users of computer technology and the campus-wide network.  This position configures, administers, and supports the campus Macintosh workstations.  This includes maintaining operating system software, implementing computer applications, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and providing necessary documentation.  In addition, this individual oversees the operation of the HouseIT Residence Life Service Center, which provides technical support to students in Residence Life who bring their personal computers and other personal devices to campus.  The person in this position would also assist in staffing the CIT help desk to offer quality assistance, education, and training to all campus users as well as supporting the computer repair operations.  This is accomplished by serving as a technician at the CIT help desk, working in the field to solve user problems, and conducting on-site training as needed.

Whether you frequent the Kress or have yet to visit since the announcement of the Faculty/Staff Free Membership Program, NOW is your time to do so while working towards weekly prizes!

All Faculty/Staff have free UNLIMITED access to the Kress Events Center over the Winter Break time period.

 

 

To Participate:

  1. Visit the Kress during business hours and check-in at the front desk (campus ID & a second pair of shoes required).
  2. Ask the front desk attendant for an entry slip for the Faculty/Staff Winter Break Fitness Challenge.
  3. Complete the slip and give back to the front desk attendant to enter for the drawing.
    • You will receive one entry slip each time you visit the Kress during the Winter Break Fitness Challenge.

All entry slips will be compiled by week for entry to a drawing:

IMPORTANT Changes to Student Employment Policy and Procedures Effective January 1, 2016

Based upon compliance requirements for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA), changes have been made to UPS Operational Policy: GEN 20 on Student Employment which go into effect January 1, 2016.

The updates to the Student Employment Policy include:

  • 25 hour per week limitation during the 39-contiguous weeks of the Academic year for all UW System employment and up to 40 hours during designated break periods
  • Limiting lump sum payments.
  • Recording of hours worked with any lump sum payments that continue.

At this time we are working through the effects to our campus, including changes in the hiring and payment for student lump sum employees and the monitoring of weekly hour limits for all student employees.  We will go through the updated policy and new procedures regarding student employment during the scheduled forums:

  • Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 2:00  p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.

(Please note each session will be limited to 25 attendees.

All forums will be held in Room 103 in the University Union.

Custodian (Second Shift)

The University of Wisconsin – Green Bay has a current vacancy for a full time, second shift Custodian in the Cofrin Library. This position works under the general supervision of the Custodial Services Supervisor, and is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of their designated areas.

Heating Plant Superintendent

This is a responsible, managerial, and supervisory position reporting to the Director of Facilities Management. UW-Green Bay’s Heating Plant primary equipment consists of three (3) high pressure steam water tube boilers, two (2) high pressure circulatic steam generating boilers, two (2) electrical chillers,  one (1) steam centrifical chiller, and one (1) diesel fired generator. Equipment associated with the boilers, chillers and generator include pumps, motors, fans, dampers, monitoring equipment, gauges, energy/mechanical control system (American Automatrix and Foxborough Controls). This position will supervise five (5) Operators and one (1) Operator-in-Charge. Job duties of this position are performed with a minimum of direction. This position understands that the operation of the Heating and Cooling Plant is a 365/24/7 staffed department.

Nurse Practitioner (80%)

Are you looking for a better work life balance as a nurse practitioner with extra hours off in the summer?

The position of Nurse Practitioner reports to the Director of Counseling and Health, and provides primary health care and preventative health education to students. This position also develops policies, protocols, procedures and QA studies.

This position offers full benefits and a great schedule as the clinic currently closes at 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is closed on all weekends and legal holidays.  This position also offers a reduced number of work days in the summer and over the winter break. There are only occasional evening or weekend hours needed for special campus programs planned well in advance.

Financial Specialist Senior

Under general supervision of the Purchasing Supervisor, the Financial Specialist Senior provides day-to-day administrative support for the Purchasing Supervisor and all direct reporting functions of the office, including Purchasing, Copy Center, Receiving, Stores, Mail Room and Surplus.  This position will independently perform administrative functions critical to the success of the Institutional Support Department in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment. The Financial Specialist Senior is responsible for administration of the Purchasing Card Program as well as documentation, records management, timely processing and monitoring of numerous campus contractual agreements.  This position is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of special projects, reports and information requests as assigned by the Purchasing Supervisor.
