Facilities, Kurt Nimmer-1On January 9, 2017, Kurt Nimmer began as an Electrician for Facilities Management.

Kurt was employed by NWTC for 8 years prior to joining UWGB and currently holds a Master Electrician License.

Kurt is married to his wife, Denise, and has two daughters–Amanda (age 25) and Katie (age 22).  He is from Eagle River, Wisconsin.

Welcome Christina Baudhuin

Christina Baudhuin-1Christina Baudhuin was welcomed on January 9, 2017, as an Academic Department Associate in Public and Environmental Affairs.

Prior to joining UWGB, Christina was employed by Forward Services Corporation for two years and has worked in human services for over seven years.  She also established and administered a licensed group childcare business for over 10 years.

Christina holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree-Speech Language Pathologist Assistant and has several years of experience working with children with communication delays/disabilities.

Christina is married to her husband Noel and has two children–Jared and Madisyn.  She is from Kewaunee, Wisconsin.

Welcome Steven Walter!

Steve Walter-1On January 30, 2017, Steven Walter was welcomed as a Custodian in Facilities Management.

Prior to joining UWGB, Steven was employed by St. Vincent Hospital and Libertas Treatment Centers.  He worked 32 years with adults and adolescents with alcohol and drug problems.  Steven attended Fox Valley Technical Institute for truck driving.

In his free time, Steven enjoys boating, golfing, and skiing.  He also loves dogs, actively assisting with the creation of the Kaukauna Dog Park.

Steven has been married to his wife, Julie, for 10 years and is from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Police Officer

The Police Officer is a sworn peace officer assigned to the Office of Public Safety.    Responsibilities will include enforcement of laws, investigation of complaints, suspicious matters, and incidents that may have an impact on the University. In addition, they are responsible for maintaining order, assisting people, identifying criminal activity, apprehending offenders, identifying the source of problems in the University community and collaborating with others to resolve issues. These positions will also be expected to engage in problem solving, initiate crime prevention measures, enforce criminal and traffic laws, ensure safety and security of people and property, investigate crimes, implement emergency procedures and administer basic first aid when necessary. Additionally, police officers are expected to write clear, concise, and detailed reports. Police officers operate under the general direction of a ranking officer, supervisor, training officer, as well as officers collaterally assigned as an Officer in Charge for a specific agency purpose. The police officers will support the department’s mission by providing essential functions while respecting the rights and dignity of all individuals.

Intersections: Harassment Prevention Training deadline fast approaching

As indicated in an email sent by Chancellor Miller to all faculty and staff in early February, HR has rolled out online compliance training to engage employees and raise awareness about harassment and discrimination. Dean Assistant – College of Health, Education and Social Welfare

This position reports to the Dean of the College of Health, Education, and Social Welfare (CHESW) and is responsible for administrative support to the Dean, budget and financial management, and assistance with operating and grant budgets.  The successful candidate will also coordinate contract letters, personnel and payroll forms, and other documents and be responsible for general office management, bookkeeping, and data tracking functions.
