Outreach Program Manager

This position reports to Executive Officer, Continuing Education & Workforce Training and provides guidance for program development, implementation and evaluation of a wide range of healthcare, human services and non-profit continuing education programs, including certificates, workshops and seminars. Assesses market needs and trends to continuously update and expand program offerings. Will lead in delivering high-quality and relevant educational offerings that meet the changing needs of the community and industry standards and implement evaluation processes to monitor program effectiveness and student satisfaction. Will monitor and allocate program resources, including funding, staffing, facilities and technology, to optimize program delivery and ensure enrollment and revenue outcomes.

The role requires a strategic leader who collaborates with a variety of stakeholders, including industry professionals, academic staff and university marketing to identify educational needs, design curriculum and promote programs to increase enrollment. Will work closely and foster strong relationships with healthcare organizations, community partners and industry stakeholders to pursue partnerships and funding opportunities to enhance program relevance and employment opportunities for participants

Strives to expand and ensure access to credit and non-credit programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences throughout Wisconsin and beyond.

Student Success Coach, GEAR UP Rising Phoenix (2 Vacancies, 1 Year Appointment)

This position reports to the GEAR UP Rising Phoenix Manager and will serve as a Student Success Coach for the Rising Phoenix Early College High School Program, an innovative program providing cohorts of students in partner schools the opportunity to earn an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree along with their high school diploma. The Student Success Coach works closely with school district staff and provides academic advising and social and emotional support for high school students enrolled in the Rising Phoenix program. The Student Success Coach manages the orientation to college process, provides intensive support, academic advising and major/career exploration, maintains students’ records, and works with the schools to establish the alignment between UW-Green Bay courses and high school courses.  The Student Success Coach will provide services that support the University’s mission and goals regarding equity, diversity, and inclusion.

This one year-100% position is funded through the UW-Green Bay partnership with the state GEAR UP program and is renewed on an annual basis dependent on funding and satisfactory performance. The GEAR UP grant is a 7-year, renewable grant with funding through August 22, 2026. These 2 positions may be assigned to serve a combination of GEAR UP school districts in the following regions: Ashland, Bayfield, Wausau, Shawano, Green Bay, Sheboygan and/or Milwaukee.
