Campus Executive Officer – Sheboygan Campus

The Campus Executive Officer at the Sheboygan Campus reports to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement and the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and serves as a liaison between the Sheboygan Branch Campus, the greater Sheboygan community, and the Green Bay campus. This position will develop and deploy a strategic advancement plan for the Sheboygan campus which is aligned with UW-Green Bay strategy and leverages the University’s approach in support of student access and success, institutional growth, and community engagement. This position is responsible for building impactful community relationships, creating connections with educational entities that can lead to the recruitment of students, soliciting and securing gifts and pledges, and providing regular stewardship of donors and their gifts.

In addition to development activities, this position will be responsible for broad oversight over Sheboygan campus operations, including responsibility for business and administration functions. This position will also support recruitment efforts by working closely with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services and the UW-Green Bay recruitment team to maintain and improve high school and community relations and identify enrollment opportunities and obstacles in an effort to provide potential solutions.

Title & Total Compensation Training Sessions for Managers

The University of Wisconsin (UW) is embarking on a complete redesign of its current classification and compensation structure. The goal of the Title & Total Compensation Project is to develop new systems that will enable institutions to continue to attract and retain the best talent.

Initial job mapping has been completed on the UW-Green Bay campus, and the next step will be employee-manager conversations between December 1, 2019 and February 15, 2020. During these meetings, employees will discuss their updated job title and job description with their manager. Employees will receive their updated job title information prior to their meeting with their manager, and the full title library will also be posted publicly at this time. Employee feedback and questions are appropriate, valid, and expected during the Employee-Manager conversations.

To support managers in this process, HR is holding training sessions which will cover the following topics:

  • Overview of the new title structure
  • Process information and timeline
  • Manager-specific resources
  • Best practices for promoting effective employee-manager conversations

All managers who supervise academic staff and/or university staff employees are strongly encouraged to attend one of these sessions. The same information will be covered in each session:

  • Monday, November 4 – 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the 1965 Room
  • Wednesday, November 6 – 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Alumni Room (UU 103)
  • Wednesday, November 6 – 1:00-2:30 p.m. in the Christie Theatre
  • Thursday, November 7 – 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the Christie Theatre

We will have a Skype option available for the Wednesday morning session. The link for that skype session will be sent out to Wednesday  morning registrants. Dean Assistant

This position reports to the Dean of the College of Health, Education, and Social Welfare and is responsible for management of the operating budget and finances of the college. This position is the primary contact for accounting, budgets, and financial procedures including payroll, travel expenses, purchasing, and invoices. This position works with college leadership and staff to coordinate contract letters, payroll forms, and other documents. This position also provides administrative support for the Dean and Associate Dean and is responsible for other general office management functions.

Custodian (1st Shift)

This position reports to the Custodial Services Program Supervisor and maintains the overall appearance and cleanliness of the designated work area.  Work performed in this position includes manual cleaning and maintenance of UWGB buildings.  General areas of responsibility include: cleaning offices, restrooms, and other building areas; maintaining all floor surfaces including mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, and refinishing; cleaning windows (inside and outside); cleaning furniture; assisting with furniture, piano and equipment moves as required; stocking restrooms and custodial work areas with necessary supplies and products; waste and recycling removal; snow removal and salting of building entrances. This position will be required to drive a State vehicle and travel between work locations as needed.

On October 21, 2019, the International Education department welcomed Miriam Brabham as a Study Abroad Coordinator.

Miriam comes to UWGB from Sodexo Western Illinois University where she worked for 3 years. She has a BA from Western Illinois University in Political Science Pre Law. She enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring.

She is originally from Evanston, Illinois. Her family consists of her Mother – Margaret, Father – Shlomo, and Brother – Ezra.

Academic Department Associate

Under general direction of the Department Chairs for Human Biology (HUB), Natural and Applied Sciences (NAS), Resch School of Engineering (RSoE), and the Director of the Dietetic Internship Program (DDIP), this position is responsible for all budget-related services for all programs and grants within these departments. Other responsibilities include providing backup administrative and office management for the three academic units as needed.
