UW-Green Bay Wellness Committee Receives 2023 Well Wisconsin Excellence and Innovation Award
The UW-Green Bay Wellness Committee was recognized on February 22, 2024 during the Well Wisconsin program as the recipient of the 2023 Excellence and Innovation award in Employee Well-being. Chair Rachel Wautier, accepted the award on behalf of the Wellness Committee. Current Wellness Committee members include:

The UW-Green Bay Wellness Committee was honored with this award due to the fun and engaging ways it supports well-being on campus, making wellness initiatives a draw for employee recruitment and retention. Rachel Wautier was also recognized as a nominee for the Personal Spotlight award during the February 22nd ceremony.

Bellin Run 2024
It’s time to register for the 48th Annual Bellin Run! The Bellin Run will be an in-person and virtual event on June 8, 2024 in Green Bay. This 10K & 5K event is for runners and walkers of all participation levels.
UW-Green Bay is part of the Bellin Run Corporate Challenge. Being part of this program gets you these perks if you register by May 1st:
- An early incentive gift (running clip light) with the Bellin Run logo on it
- Your race packet (bib and race shirt) will be delivered to the Green Bay campus and available for you to pick up in the Human Resources office about a week before the event (we will email you when it’s ready).
Friends and family can be registered on our team so that they can receive these benefits as well.
In addition, the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) is investing in the health of our employees by paying $10 of your registration fees. This discount will be input during the registration process. This discount does not apply to friends & family members.

The Academic Staff Professional Development Programming Committee Upcoming Training Opportunities
The Academic Staff Professional Development Programming Committee (ASPDPC) invites all staff and faculty to 2 training opportunities this semester, though priority will go toward academic staff. Registration is required and details are as follows:
“Autism Thinking”
DATE CHANGE: February 20, 2pm-4pm, online
“Autism Thinking” is designed to inform participants of the neurodevelopmental characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Topics include, but are not limited to: Executive Functioning, Context Blindness, Theory of Mind, Central Coherence, Joint Attention, and One-Channel Processing. An understanding of these characteristics and challenges arms participants with the knowledge required to support individuals with ASD in their daily lives (in the classroom, in the home, or in the community). This presentation ends with a discussion of the methods used to support individuals with ASD. These practical tools and strategies will help participants be proactive and confident in their efforts to support individuals with autism in a variety of settings.
Register for Autism Thinking, attendance is limited to 60 participants.
“Mental Health First Aid”
March 21, 8am-3pm, lunch included, in-person, location TBA
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for Higher Education teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training — which focuses on the unique experiences and needs of college students — gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Register for MHFA, attendance is limited to 30 participants.
