Welcome Jenna Liphart Rhoads!

On August 23, 2021, the Nursing & Health Studies Department welcomed Jenna Liphart Rhoads as a Lecturer – Nursing.

Jenna’s hometown is  Byron, Illinois. Jenna was previously employed at St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois for two years. She volunteers at church and school.

Jenna enjoys running, reading, baking and traveling. She has a husband, Matt, and two children, Hudson who is 6 1/2 years old and Eleanor who is 3 years old. They will be moving from Texas to Wisconsin.

Jenna has a Ph.D. from Capella University, MS from Northern Illinois University, and a BSN from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing.

Welcome Paul Schneck!

On August 23, 2021, the Social Work Department welcomed Paul Schneck as a Lecturer – Social Work.

Paul is from Wausau and will be teaching for Social Work at the Wausau location.

Paul has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Psychology from UW-Eau Claire.

Welcome Cory Mathieu!

On August 23, 2021, the Education Department welcomed Corinne (Cory) Mathieu as an Assistant Professor in Education.

Cory comes to us from Madison, WI. In her free time, Cory enjoys ultimate frisbee, trivia and traveling. Cory has a husband, Jacob and son, Oliver.

Cory has an MA and Ph.D. in Second Language Education from the University of Minnesota.

Welcome Nischal Thapa!

On August 23, 2021, the Austin E. School of Business welcomed Nischal Thapa as an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship.

Nischal comes to us from Rajbiraj, Nepal. Nischal was previously employed at Tribhuvan University in the College of Applied Business and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is involved with helping underprivileged children and senior citizens.

In his free time, Nischal enjoys hiking, traveling, watching sports and playing online chess. Nischal has a soulmate, Pratima, and loves dogs.

Nischal has a BBA in Banking and Finance, MPhil in Management (both from Tribhuvan University of Kathmandu, Nepal), and a MBA in Financial Management from Lamar University in Texas. He will also have his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City this summer.

Welcome Herb Covington!

On August 23, 2021, Psychology Department welcomed Herb Covington as a Lecturer.

Herb comes to us from Richmond, VA and had also lived in Boston, MA. Herb was  previously employed at Tufts University. He is involved with NAMI, the Audubon Society, and Society for Neuroscience.

In his free time, Herb enjoys hiking, rock climbing, fishing, biking and yoga. He is looking forward to exploring the arts, culture, coffee and food in Green Bay.

Herb has a background in Psychology and Behavioral and Molecular Neuroscience.

Welcome Albert Sears!

On August 23, 2021, the Humanities Department welcomed Albert Sears as a Lecturer – Writing Foundations.

Albert lives in Manitowoc, but is originally from northern California. He likes to travel, bike, garden and enjoys good food.

He has a Ph.D. in English from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania and had worked at Silver Lake College for 18 years.

Albert is happy to be joining UW-Green Bay!

Welcome Roshelle Amundson!

On August 23, 2021, the Humanities Department welcomed Roshelle Amundson as a Lecturer – Writing Foundations.

Roshelle has been teaching English composition and the humanities at UW-Green Bay since 2019. She is truly passionate about the fields of writing and communications – using our voices – whether in a classic expository essay, an avant-garde free verse poem, or a persuasive speech. Roshelle is deeply passionate about the success of all students; her great joy is watching students grow through obstacles to stand in competence, confidence, and mastery.

Roshelle holds an MFA in creative writing from Goddard College, a BA in Professional Communications from Metropolitan State University, and a manuscript of poetry currently collecting dust. She has been in higher education since 2010; prior to, Roshelle was a corporate trainer and procedure writer in the securities industry.

Roshelle’s creative work has appeared in Pitkin Review, Haute Dish Literary Journal, and Northern Lights. In what spare time she has, Roshelle may be found outdoors. Often, she is on the shores of Lake Superior or Lake Michigan with her pockets full of rocks and fossils. She loves gardening, foraging, big water, the wind in the pines and simple abundance.

Welcome Erica Wiest!

On August 23, 2021, the Humanities Department welcomed Erica Wiest as a Lecturer – Writing Foundations.

Erica is originally from Jacksonville, Illinois and has been a lecturer at the UW-Sheboygan campus for 12 years.

She is part of the Bookworm Gardens Board of Directors and has two children ages 12 and 18.

Erica has a PhD in English from UW-Milwaukee and a Bachelors in Spanish from Knox College.

Earth Miles 4 Maywood

This September you can walk, run, hike, pedal, and paddle in support of Maywood. By participating you help provide programs and events that help connect our community with nature.

Earth Miles 4 Maywood 2021 will be a hybrid model. Event organizers will continue to offer the virtual month-long event that allows you to select your mileage goal, activities, date and locations. In-person mini-events will also be offered throughout the month.
