Welcome Roshelle Amundson!

On August 23, 2021, the Humanities Department welcomed Roshelle Amundson as a Lecturer – Writing Foundations.

Roshelle has been teaching English composition and the humanities at UW-Green Bay since 2019. She is truly passionate about the fields of writing and communications – using our voices – whether in a classic expository essay, an avant-garde free verse poem, or a persuasive speech. Roshelle is deeply passionate about the success of all students; her great joy is watching students grow through obstacles to stand in competence, confidence, and mastery.

Roshelle holds an MFA in creative writing from Goddard College, a BA in Professional Communications from Metropolitan State University, and a manuscript of poetry currently collecting dust. She has been in higher education since 2010; prior to, Roshelle was a corporate trainer and procedure writer in the securities industry.

Roshelle’s creative work has appeared in Pitkin Review, Haute Dish Literary Journal, and Northern Lights. In what spare time she has, Roshelle may be found outdoors. Often, she is on the shores of Lake Superior or Lake Michigan with her pockets full of rocks and fossils. She loves gardening, foraging, big water, the wind in the pines and simple abundance.

Welcome Roshelle!
