Outreach Specialist

This position reports to the Small Business Development Center Director and provides business consulting services remotely to small business owners, managers, professionals, and prospective entrepreneurs primarily in the Wisconsin counties of Brown, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Door, Calumet, Marinette, Florence, and Forest. S/he also works with community partners to fulfill the University’s mission of community engagement and service.

Welcome Desiree Kittle!

On October 29, 2018, the Division of Information Technology welcomed Desiree Kittle as a Business Analyst.

Desiree is new to the community but looking forward to getting involved in the causes meaningful to her. She loves yoga, CrossFit, being outdoors in the summer and indoors reading and sipping coffee by the fire in winter.

Congratulations Sue Machuca!

On October 23, 2018, the UW-Sheboygan campus welcomed Sue Machuca as a Campus & Executive Officer Assistant.

Sue has worked at the UW-Green Bay campus for over 14 years as a buyer and marketing specialist at The Phoenix Bookstore. Prior to that, she was a teacher and administrator for 14 years.

When Sue’s boys were growing up, she enjoyed being involved in numerous booster club and PTO activities. Now, she enjoys being part of the extracurricular activities of her niece and nephews.

Sue loves to work out at Western Racquet doing all types of group activity classes. She also enjoys riding her bike, going for hikes and spending time with her family and friends.

Sue holds a Masters degree in Educational Administration from California State University-Bakersfield and a Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Elementary Education.

Her hometown is De Pere, WI and her family consists of her husband, Aaron and two sons Zackary who is a musician and Jordan who is pursuing a Marketing and Film degree at UW-Whitewater.

Position at UWGB: Electronics Technician, Classroom Technology Support

Summary of what you do: As part of IT Client Services, I help support the technology systems in classrooms and elsewhere around campus. I provide support and training for videoconferencing and web conferencing and assist with event recording and live streaming.

How long have you been employed: 6 years at UWGB

Brief history of employment with UWGB: Hired in April 2012 to current position

Personal interests: Basketball, Board Games, Biking, Indie Rock

Random facts/interests: I got married on September 1 of this year!

Best vacation you’ve been to? A tie between a Rome and Amalfi Coast Tour and a trip to England where I caught a few of my favorite bands on their European tours.

If you were an animal what would you be? An Eagle

Least favorite Food? I typically like donuts, but I don’t think I’ve ever not regretted eating a Kwik Trip Glazer

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? I really enjoy when I get to help students with their video projects.

What book did you read last? The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

What do you like to do on your days off? I most look forward to lazy mornings drinking coffee in my pajamas.

What is an ability you wish you had? I wish I could dunk a basketball.

What is your family like? Recently married with no children. I am an only child. My mom, Jeanne, works here for the Masters of Social Work program. My dad has been enjoying his early retirement for several years.

What is your favorite meal? Tacos

Where is your home town? I’m a Green Bay native.

 

Financial Specialist Senior

This position reports to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for the monthly reconciliation of all campus controlled bank accounts.  This position will prepare monthly entries and will assist with review, approval and posting of all journal adjustments prepared by campus departmental users.  This position is responsible for financial support functions including paycycle processing, campus cash account audits, review and entry of direct retros, and QuickBooks oversight.

Welcome Melissa Schleicher!

On October 1, 2018, the department of Continuing Education and Community Engagement welcomed Melissa Schleicher as a Program Specialist CPE for the Manitowoc and Sheboygan Campuses.

Melissa comes to us from Kohler where she spent 10 months and the Green Bay Packers where she worked for 5 years. She likes to be involved in the YMCA Youth Soccer program as a coach, and a committee member at Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Melissa loves spending time outside hiking and swimming. She enjoys playing cards with family and spending time with friends.

She holds a BA in Communication from UW-Green Bay with emphases in Public Relations and Mass Media. Her hometown is Oostburg, WI.
