Welcome Joey Prestley!

On Monday, July 3rd, Joey started as the Communication Specialist with University Advancement.

Prior to coming to UW-Green Bay, he was working as a graduate TA with UW-Madison, teaching Life Sciences Communication. He also completed a photojournalism and digital production internship with Wisconsin Watch. Joey earned his MA in Journalism and Mass Communication from UW-Madison and his BA in English Literature and Philosophy from UW-Green Bay.

Joey is from Sheboygan, WI and has been a troupe member of Comedy City in De Pere since 2015. He also works on photography and digital art!

3rd Shift Custodian

This position reports to the Custodial Services Supervisor and maintains the overall appearance and cleanliness of the designated work area.  Work performed in this position includes manual cleaning and maintenance of UWGB buildings.  General areas of responsibility include: cleaning offices, restrooms, and other building areas; maintaining all floor surfaces including mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, and refinishing; cleaning windows (inside and outside); cleaning furniture; assisting with furniture, piano and equipment moves as required; stocking restrooms and custodial work areas with necessary supplies and products; waste and recycling removal; snow removal and salting of building entrances. This position will be required to drive a State vehicle and travel between work locations as needed.

Union Building Operations Manager

This position reports to the Associate Director of Union Operations and directs daily operations of events, including monitoring the budget and/or supervising event planning staff to ensure that operations run efficiently, economically, and in line with department goals and policy.

The Building Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day management of all programs and services supporting events and functions in the University Union and affiliated areas on the campus. This position serves as a main campus administrator for our campus reservation system.

This position assists with the development and implementation of University Union policies, procedures, and goals as they relate to the mission of the Union. This position works cooperatively with other professional staff and students in accomplishing the operational, programmatic, services, and student development goals for the organization. This position will work in collaboration with others to create a safe and inclusive environment for all UW-Green Bay students where all feel a sense of place and pride.

Academic Technology Support Specialist

This position reports to the Director of Academic Technology Services and plays a key role in supporting the general and high technology classrooms, conference rooms, and distance education classroom needs of instructors and students at the University. This position will provide support for multimedia instructional needs and classroom media including recommending solutions, system configuration and maintenance, troubleshooting, providing training, and consultation services. The Academic Technology Support Specialist assists with planning, designing, and installing the audio-visual technologies in all classrooms, labs, and meeting rooms. This position will also provide support for the configuration, installation, and maintenance of campus digital signage solutions. We are seeking a team member that is committed to promoting the development of an equitable and inclusive environment.

Welcome Mackenzie Burnette!

On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, Mackenzie started as an Admissions Counselor with Admissions.

Prior to coming to UW-Green Bay, Mackenzie taught 5th grade for two years in her hometown of Escanaba, MI and for one year in the Green Bay school district. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in Elementary Education with a major in Mathematics.

Mackenzie recently got married in June and enjoys running, working out, playing volleyball and staying active, and spending time with her two fur babies, Tino and Kernel (cats)!

On Monday, June 26, 2023, Cynthia started as an Upward Bound Program Coordinator & Student Advisor in Trio/Pre-College.

Prior to her employment with UW-Green Bay, she was a Bilingual Educator for the Green Bay Public School District for six years. Cynthia graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2014 with majors in Psychology, Spanish, and Education and a minor in Human Development.

Her hometown is Green Bay. Cynthia enjoys reading, exercising, cooking, and being creative in her free time.
