Assistant Director of Advising and Retention

This position reports to the Director of Advising and Retention and helps proactively aid the development of programs, policies, and procedures that align with the institution’s retention goals and priorities. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Student Support Success Team to promote persistence and degree completion. The Assistant Director will also oversee advisors dedicated retention with a focus on creating an inclusive strategy to support the institutional commitment to diversity, inclusion and opportunity.

Khou comes to us from St. Paul, MN. Khou previously worked as a service desk specialist.

In her free time, Khou enjoys watching movies, going hiking, spending time with her family, yoga, try new food, learn about other cultures, and build long lasting relationships. Khou has 6 siblings.

Khou has a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Chinese.

On January 21, 2020, the Dean of Students Office welcomed Jennifer VanBeek as an Office Manager.

Jennifer comes to us from Cecil, WI. Jennifer was previously employed at the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections and for Brown County.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and spoiling her four guinea pigs. Jennifer is married with three children and four grand children.

Welcome Savanna Mishler!

On January 16, 2020, the Behavioral Health Training Partnership welcomed Savanna Mishler as a USPA.

Savanna comes to us from Antigo, WI. Savanna was previously employed as a Personal Specialist at Bright Star in Madison.

In her free time, Savanna enjoys fishing, kayaking, going to the gym, and going to off road races.

Savanna has a Bachelors Degree in HR Management from UW-Stout and an Associates Degree in Business from North Central Tech College.
