Welcome Kevin Suddick!

The Bursar’s Office welcomed Kevin Suddick on October 26, 2015, as a Student Billing Coordinator!

Prior to that, Kevin spent 4 years as a billing specialist for a local construction company.  He was also a Personal Finance Coach and Counselor.

Kevin earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Michigan State University and an Associate Degree in Accounting from N.W.T.C.  He enjoys reading, being a Packer fan, and serving as an assistant coach with youth baseball at Bay Port.  Kevin is originally from Detroit, Michigan.

Welcome Terra Dirschl

photo-for-new-employee-blogThe Professional Program of Education welcomed Terra Dirschl on August 15, 2016, as a University Services Associate!

Prior to her appointment at UW-Green Bay, Terra worked at Freedom House Ministries, Inc., serving as the Case Manager for one year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with an emphasis in Human Services, from St. Norbert College. Terra is originally from Green Bay and loves spending time outside relaxing in a hammock, swimming, kayaking, hiking, and snowshoeing. She also enjoys working on projects with her bible study, such as funding a well project in Kitwe, Zambia. Terra is also recently engaged to be married!

Welcome Nicole Kurth!

Nicole received her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and her Master’s Degree in Student Personnel Administration from Concordia University.  She also attended Lake Superior State University (Sault Sainte Marie, MI) for 2 years.

Nicole loves to volunteer and is looking forward to exploring Green Bay.

Welcome Sue Bornemann!

On March 7, 2016, Sue Bornemann was welcomed as a Nurse Practitioner in Health and Counseling!

Sue had been a Registered Nurse in the Health and Counseling Center from 2007-2013.  Upon earning her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she practiced at Prevea Health.

Sue volunteers for the Miracle League of Green Bay.  She and her husband have four children and provide respite services for children in foster care, while they pursue a foster care license.  Sue is a UWGB Alum and is excited for the opportunity to expand health services to students.

Welcome Crystal Williams!

On October 19, 2015, Crystal Williams started as a University Services Program Associate for Outreach & Extension!

Crystal previously worked as a Sales Training Specialist with KI. She has volunteered at Paul’s Pantry and other charity benefits. Crystal earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Communication from Concordia University and is a Green Bay native.

Welcome Anna Merry!

On January 11, 2016, Anna Merry started as a Research and Instruction Librarian for the University Library!

Anna previously worked at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College as a Learning Resource Center Technician/Librarian.  She earned her Master’s of Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  Her hometown is Antigo, Wisconsin.

Welcome Adam Calewarts!

On February 1, 2016, Adam Calewarts started as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist-Advanced in Facilities Planning and Management!

Adam was previously employed at Golden Corners Dairy, where he was the operations supervisor. He currently holds his master electrician license. Adam enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He is from Oconto Falls, Wisconsin.

Welcome Jason Cowell!

jasonOn August 22, 2016, Human Development welcomed Jason Cowell as an Assistant Professor!

Jason previously worked as a postdoctoral research associate in social neuroscience at the University of Chicago for three years. He was also a visiting assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience at Ripon College this past academic year. Jason earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of St. Thomas.  He earned his Master’s and Doctorate in Developmental Psychology, with a specialization in neuroscience, from the University of Minnesota. His research explores the neural development of empathy, self-control, and morality in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood using electroencephalography, functional magnetic imaging, and psychophysiological measures.

In his spare time, Jason loves outdoor sports, especially nordic skiing, cycling, and kayaking. He is also a singer and will be looking to join a local choir. He is originally from Marquette, Michigan.

Welcome Sam Watson!

20160414_172039-1On August 22, 2016, Arts & Visual Design welcomed Sam Watson as an Assistant Professor!

Prior to his position at UWGB, Sam was an Associate Professor with the UW Colleges. His home campus was Sheboygan, but he taught at other campuses, including online, Manitowoc, Fox, Marinette, and Fond du Lac.  Before arriving in Wisconsin, Sam taught for nine years at Central College, a four-year liberal arts college in Iowa, where he was Associate Professor and served as department chair.

Sam received his Bachelor’s Degree in art history from Virginia Commonwealth University, his Master’s Degree in Native American art history from the University of New Mexico, and his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas is Twentieth Century American art history.

Sam lives in Sheboygan with his partner David, and they have 2 grown sons.  Sam is originally from Waynesboro, Virginia.
