This position reports to the Associate Director of Residence Life and is responsible for department budget and financial management; technological management; student employment and payroll; business operations; and departmental purchasing and travel.

Welcome Tony Werner!

Tony Werner-9Tony P. Werner joined the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay as Vice Chancellor for University Advancement and President of the UW-Green Bay Foundation, Inc., on March 8, 2017.  Tony is the former President and CEO of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, Detroit. He returns to the region, where he served as Director of Development for the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, from 1997-99.  He has 27 years of advancement experience in healthcare, higher education, and the non-profit theater industry.

Tony is active in the community, primarily with the Center for Childhood Safety, an injury prevention group.  He is a native of Chicago and enjoys cycling on the rural roads in northeast Wisconsin and golfing.

Tony’s oldest son, Sam, works in the auto industry in finance in Detroit.  His other son, Jacob, is a microbiologist for a chemical company in Ohio.

Welcome Eric Arneson!

Campus Climate, Eric Arneson, Studen Affairs-8Eric Arneson was hired as the new Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Climate on July 1, 2017.  He has 25 years of combined professional experience working for several universities:  Florida International, University of Miami, University of Illinois, and Western Illinois University.

Eric earned his Doctor of Education from Florida International University, his MA from Bowling Green State University, and is BS from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.

Eric has been active in community events, having coached YMCA sports, tutored children, chaired United Way fundraising events, and participated in autism walks. He also enjoys reading, sports, movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Eric’s hometown is Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, and after many years away, is very excited to be coming home to Wisconsin with his wife Tenaye, son Kenny, and their dog Blue.

Welcome Susan Pike!

Sue Pike-1Susan Pike was welcomed by Continuing Education and Community Engagement on May 1, 2017, as a new University Services Program Associate.  Prior to joining UWGB, she spent 17 years working at Fort Howard/Georgia-Pacific and held various positions thereafter.

Susan was a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor for 8 years and was named “Big Sister of the Year” for northeast Wisconsin.  She is currently a teen mentor.  In her free time, Susan enjoys yoga, gardening, and traveling.  She is from Luxemburg, Wisconsin, and is married to her husband Tom.  She also has 2 sons–Brian (23) and Jared (20).

Welcome Baylei Schmit!

Admissions, Baylei Schmit-2Baylei Schmit was hired as a CRM Recruitment Specialist in Admissions on June 26, 2017.  She has an MA in intercultural communication from the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland and a BA in communication from UW-Oshkosh.

Baylei enjoys tennis, soccer, crafting, making music, and being outside with friends and family. She is from Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

Welcome Amy Carrozzino-Lyon!

Amy Carrozzino-Lyon was hired in Natural & Applied Sciences as the Lower Green Bay Restoration Project Coordinator on June 15, 2017.  Prior to her current role, she worked for the DNR as a Green Bay Wetland Habitat Coordinator for 2 years.

Amy studied fish and wildlife conservation at Penn State and Virginia Tech.  She is involved with the Green Bay Conservation Partners and enjoys traveling to U.S. national parks, hiking, camping, and bird watching.

She is married to her husband Scott and has a Shih Tzu/poodle/bichon frise mix named Teddy.  Amy is from Glassboro, New Jersey.

Welcome Justin Mueller!

Justin Mueller, Police-2Justin Mueller was hired as a Police Officer in Public Safety on June 14, 2017.  Prior to his current role, he worked for the DNR as a Conservation Warden.

Justin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor’s Degree in Resource Management-Law Enforcement.  He also completed two basic law enforcement training academies–Mid-State Technical College and Fort McCoy.

Justin is actively educating youth about the natural resources and teaching DNR safety courses.  He is currently the president of the Conservation Leadership Corps, which is part of the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation. Justin enjoys many outdoor activities, such as boating, hunting, fishing, and camping.  He likes to explore new places around the state and the world.

Justin is from Kewaunee, WI.
