This position reports to the Executive Director, Institute for Women’s Leadership and the Executive Officer, Continuing Education and Community Engagement and plans, manages and delivers events, program activities, trainings and certificate options for the Institute for Women’s Leadership. Supports the Executive Director in building and strengthening community partnerships, ensuring adherence to policy and assisting with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Endorses membership opportunities and oversees the membership process. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences. May assist with tracking and managing the program budget.
About the Role and the Institute for Women’s Leadership
The Institute for Women’s Leadership Program Specialist will oversee programming development and execution in collaboration with the Division of Continuing Education and Community Engagement and the Marketing and University Communications Office. The Program Specialist will support a range of programs for the Institute of Women’s Leadership as the Institute grows and expands to serve the needs of women leaders throughout the region, and will manage a variety of operational projects, requiring both strategic and tactical skills. The role includes targeted outreach to businesses and organizations throughout the region to advocate and build mutually beneficial relationships supporting the Institute’s mission and programming.
