Accounts Payable (Two Vacancies)

These positions report to the Assistant Controller.

Travel Coordinator & Accounts Payable: This position is responsible for performing, under general supervision, audit and approval of payments to individuals, interpretation and enforcement of travel policies, management of the campus’s corporate card program with US Bank, and other accounting duties. This position will serve as the primary contact for all travel related items to the UW Green Bay Campus including the use of the TravelWise system, maintenance of the travel reimbursement and travel advance module in Peoplesoft SFS, interpretation of policy, recommendations for compliant travel, and guidance for reimbursement. This position will also process journal entries related to reconciling travel general ledger account. This position has a shared responsibility for support of campus accounts payable. This includes invoice audit and approval and accounts payable support to various departments on campus.

Accounts Payable Specialist: This position is responsible for the accurate and timely Accounts Payable remittance, compliance with related policies and procedures, and information requests as assigned by the Assistant Controller. This position will review past due invoices and compute interest charges if Prompt Pay legislation is applicable, assist with review of open purchase orders, process invoices and maintain documentation for State Project purchase orders. This position is also responsible for the development, implementation, and process enhancement including records organization, transition to electronic payments, and special project work. This position will prepare Accounts Payable Year End reports on an annual basis in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, process Emergency Grant Requests and Child Care Grant requests in ShopUW+, and review outstanding checks and send out appropriate communications.
