On Monday, August 2, 2021, Sam Stranz started as the Front of House & Event Supervisor with the Weidner Center.
Sam comes to us from Weston, WI. Sam was previously employed as a middle school band director. Sam is involved in the music community and frequently performs with many local ensembles in addition to working on projects with his own jazz groups.
In his free time, Sam enjoys jazz, saxophone, disc golf, hiking, canoeing, gardening, cross country skiing, and coffee. Sam is engaged to his fiancé Haley. Sam’s father lives in Weston and has a Bernese Mountain dog and Sam’s sister is a lab manager for UW Health in Madison.
Sam has a Masters Degree in Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Northern Iowa and a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Studies and Arts Management from UW-Green Bay.
