Supervisory Leadership Certificate Program

Human Resources is pleased to announce the continuation of a certification opportunity targeted to UW-Green Bay supervisors.  The Supervisory Leadership Certificate Program is a collaboration between the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center and Human Resources.  The program is designed to help supervisors build leadership skills, invest in their employees, and advance their department.  Each semester, five supervisors will be selected to begin this program.  Approximately $300 – $400 in expenses for course materials will be charged to the department. If funding is a barrier to participation, supervisors are encouraged to discuss alternative funding options with Division Heads/Area Leaders. Please review the program flyer for more information.

Please complete and submit the Supervisory Leadership Certificate Program Interest Form to your supervisor to express interest in participation. Supervisors should review and complete their portion of the form, and forward to the Area Leader no later than August 21st. Forms will be forwarded to the Position Review Committee for consideration and decisions made on attendees will be communicated to employees and supervisors by early September.

If you applied for the program last year and were wait-listed, there is no need to resubmit an interest form.  Your form will be continue to be included in consideration going forward. If you are no longer interested in participating, please notify HR by e-mailing hr@uwgb.edu

Assistant Director of Athletic Communications (Open to UW System Employees Only)

UW-Green Bay has a current vacancy for an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Communications and assists with media relations for the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay athletics program.  This position assists in the coordination of a comprehensive daily media relations effort designed to generated and maintain interest in Green Bay Phoenix Athletics, as well as the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.

Anyone who has requested or is planning to request an estimate will have a better understanding of how that amount was calculated. Nurse Practitioner

College Health Nurse

The University of Wisconsin – Green Bay seeks applicants for a College Health Nurse vacancy.  The College Health Nurse reports to the Director of Counseling and Health, and works collaboratively with medical and counseling staff to perform clinical nursing and health education programming as applicable to the Health Service Mission Statement. The College Health Nurse works independently to perform basic nursing assessment, health education, treatment and referral as appropriate for individual student need. This position participates in the development and implementation of health education programs that address student health issues (programming responsibilities include public speaking), as well as campus-wide communicable disease control and emergency response. This position serves as a consultant for campus-wide health issues and works with other University Departments to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.

Academic Department Associate (9-month, 75%) – Two Vacancies

The University of Wisconsin – Green Bay seeks applicants for two Academic Department Associate vacancies.  One position will support the department of Humanistic Studies, and the other position will support the departments of Human Development and Information and Computing Science.  Both positions are part-time university staff appointments working approximately 30 hours per week during the academic year (August-May). Appointments are approximately 9-months, tied to the academic year with no expectation of employment during the summer months and winter break. Welcome Carol Kuehne!

carol_kuehneCarol started in the Admissions Office as a University Services Associate 2 on June 15, 2015. She was previously employed at UW-Fox Valley as a Program Assistant for over eight years.  She also worked in the airline industry for several years at both Air Wisconsin and Midwest Express Airlines.  Carol lives in Seymour, WI with her husband, Mitch, and two children, Tracey and Mike.  She enjoys camping, biking, skiing, and traveling with her family, and is a fan of Wisconsin sports! Welcome Carol!

Director of Admissions (Open to UW System Employees Only)

UW-Green Bay has a current vacancy for a Director of Admissions. This position reports to the Dean of Enrollment Services, and is responsible for the overall leadership of the Admissions Office, including marketing and recruitment, application processing and admissions decisions, international student recruitment and admission, professional and support staff supervision, budget management and development, admissions policy development and implementation, and both long-term and short-term planning for the purpose of meeting University enrollment goals.
