Custodian (1st Shift) – Open to UW System Employees Only

This position reports to the Custodial Services Program Supervisor and maintains the overall appearance and cleanliness of the designated work area.  Work performed in this position includes manual cleaning and maintenance of UWGB buildings.  General areas of responsibility include: cleaning offices, restrooms, and other building areas; maintaining all floor surfaces including mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, and refinishing; cleaning windows (inside and outside); cleaning furniture; assisting with furniture, piano and equipment moves as required; stocking restrooms and custodial work areas with necessary supplies and products; waste and recycling removal; snow removal and salting of building entrances. This position will be required to drive a State vehicle and travel between work locations as needed.

Assistant Professor – Computer Science-Cybersecurity

The Resch School of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Computer Science, with specific experience in cybersecurity. The successful applicant will help develop a growing Computer Science program in conjunction with a new STEM Innovation Center, ongoing relationships with NSA/NSF (in the form of the first ever GenCyber program in the state of Wisconsin, including the only Wisconsin GenCyber camp in 2019), a partnership with Microsoft (through the Tech Spark grant program), and an expanding Engineering School. The UW-Green Bay Computer Science program also received a grant from Google in the form of the Ignite CS program during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic years.

On September 23, 2019, the IT Network & Systems department welcomed Benjamin Ahearn as a Network Administrator.

Ben comes to us from Two Rivers, WI. Ben was previously employed at CareTech Solutions/Holy Family Memorial Hospital. Ben is involved as a volunteer at his children’s school.

In his free time, Ben enjoys camping, listening to music, and home brewing. Ben is married to his with with two children.

Ben has a Bachelors Degree from Lakeland and an Associates Degree from Lakeshore Technical College.
