Welcome Keith Bani!

IMG_0054Facilities Management welcomed Keith Bani on June 14, 2016, as a Custodian!  Prior to his appointment at UW-Green Bay, Keith worked at Festival Foods.

Keith volunteers for the Tourette Syndrome Awareness 5K Run/Walk Event each year.

Keith is from De Pere, WIsconsin, and attended West De Pere High School.  He has 9 siblings and also has an identical twin!

Welcome Maruf Hossain!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Natural and Applied Sciences Department welcomed Maruf Hossain on July 1, 2016, as the Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology!  Prior to his appointment at UW-Green Bay, Maruf worked as a Research Assistant and Herff Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Memphis.  He also worked as an Assistant Professor at Ahsanullah University, as a Lecturer at American International University, and an Engineer at Telecom Malaysia International, all of which are located in Bangladesh.

Maruf served as Treasurer of IEEE HKN, University of Memphis Chapter 2015-2016, Treasurer of Bangladesh Students Association, and the University of Memphis Chapter 2013-2014.

Maruf holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Memphis, TN.  He earned his Master’s of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.

Maruf is originally from Khulna, Bangladesh, and has a wife and son.  Welcome, Maruf!

 

 

 

 

 

Welcome Tara Carr!

Tara CarrOutreach and Adult Access welcomed Tara Carr on April 25, 2016, as the Director of the Small Business Development Center!  Prior to her appointment at UW-Green Bay, Tara worked at Concordia University.

Tara holds a Masters in Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Human Resource Management and Labor Relations from Bowling Green State University. Currently, she is studying Organizational Leadership and Administration with Concordia University.  Tara currently serves on the Bay Area Workforce Development Board and is a senior adjunct faculty member at Concordia University, where she teaches in the Business Administration and Human Resource Management Bachelor, MBA, and OLA Programs.

Tara began her career as an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry in upstate New York and is originally from Hoosick Falls, New York.  Her responsibilities will include coordinating, planning, and administering the Small Business Development Center’s services to prospective entrepreneurs and small-business owners/managers in the service area.

Welcome Mitchell Sabez!

Mitchell SabezThe Office of Human Resources welcomed Mitchell Sabez on May 2, 2016, as a Human Resources Assistant!  Mitchell’s responsibilities will include coordinating and entering personnel transaction data in the Human Resources System (HRS), processing student employment paperwork, and handling various recruitment activities for the divisions of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Information Services, the Library, and Provost Office. He will also coordinate exit processing, perform fiscal year end duties, and assist with IT-related functions for the HR Office.

In 2014, Mitchell earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from UW-Green Bay.  Prior to his appointment at UW-Green Bay, Mitchell worked in Human Resources at Cabelas for 1 year.   He is originally from Greenfield, WI, and currently lives in West Bend, WI.  He has an older brother who resides in Omaha, NE, and his parents still reside in Greenfield.  Mitchell enjoys playing tennis, running, reading, music, and movies.  He is excited to return to the Green Bay area and especially UWGB!   Welcome, Mitchell!

Welcome Bao Sengkhammee!

FullSizeRenderThe American Intercultural Center welcomed Bao Sengkhammee on March 14, 2016, as a Multicultural Advisor!  Prior to her appointment at UW-Green Bay, Bao worked at the Chippewa Valley Technical College. She holds a Master’s in Educational Psychology from UW-Milwaukee and a Bachelor’s in Human Development & Urban and Regional Studies from UW-Green Bay.  Bao enjoys spending time with her children and family, watching movies, doing arts and crafts, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, trying new cultural foods, munching on spicy foods, and learning about other cultures.  Welcome, Bao!

Welcome Rebecca Sievers!

Official HeadshotOutreach and Adult Access welcomed Rebecca Sievers on April 4, 2016 as the Camps and Conferences Manager!  Prior to her appointment at UW-Green Bay, Rebecca worked at the University of Iowa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from St. Norbert College, and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University.  Rebecca is originally from Appleton, WI, and enjoys volunteering as a local youth basketball and volleyball coach.  In her free time, she likes to run and do CrossFit, and loves to cheer on the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers! Welcome, Rebecca!

Welcome Jenny Seefeldt!

IMG_1393The Office of Human Resources welcomed Jenny Seefeldt on April 5, 2016 as a Human Resources Assistant!  Jenny’s responsibilities will include coordinating and entering personnel transaction data in the Human Resources System (HRS), processing student employment paperwork, and handling various recruitment activities for the divisions of Professional Studies, Outreach and Adult Access, Enrollment Services, and Dean of Students. She will also serve as the campus coordinator for US Citizenship and Immigration Services and will coordinate orientation and onboarding for new employees.

Prior to her appointment at UW-Green Bay, Jenny worked in Human Resources at NEWCAP, Inc. for 15 years. Jenny holds a technical degree in information processing from NWTC.  She is originally from Wausaukee, WI, and currently lives in Coleman, WI.  Jenny has two children, Sara (age 11) and Seth (age 14).  Welcome, Jenny!

Welcome Erica Grunseth!

grunseth1The Cofrin Library welcomed Erica Grunseth on March 1, 2016 as the Coordinator of Public Services!  Prior to her appointment at UW-Green Bay, Erica served as the Director of the Abbotsford, WI Public Library for four years. Erica holds a BA in Humanistic Studies with a minor in Anthropology from UWGB, as well as a Master of Library and Information Science from UW-Milwaukee.  Originally from Owen, WI, Erica is excited to be back at UW-Green Bay where she and her wife Anna met as students!  In her free time, Erica loves knitting, kayaking, camping, reading, and spending time with friends and family.  Welcome, Erica!

Welcome Jodi Pierre!

PierreThe Cofrin Library is pleased to welcome Jodi Pierre as a Research and Instruction Librarian!  Jodi began on January 11, 2016, after working at the Cardinal Stritch University Library for the past five years.  Prior to her recent move to Allouez, Jodi and her husband volunteered at the Center for Avian Rehabilitation & Education, an exotic bird rescue shelter located in Waukesha, WI.  Jodi holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from UW-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Beloit College.  Jodi is originally from Johnsburg, IL, and enjoys reading detective novels, watching the Chicago Cubs, and spending time outdoors.  Welcome, Jodi!
