Welcome Hannah Iverson!

imagesHannah Iverson was welcomed “way back” on October 17, 2016, as the Director of Player Development in Athletics.

Prior to coming to work for UWGB, Hannah was employed by the University of Illinois for about two and a half years.  She was an undergrad in Human Biology at UWGB and has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Management.

Hannah is married to her husband Ryan, and they have a 10-month-old son named Leo James.  She is from Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Welcome Jonathan Allen!

Jonathan Allen-2Jonathan Allen was welcomed on February 13, 2017, as a Student Status Examiner Associate in Admissions.

Prior to joining UWGB, Jonathan was employed by Globe University for seven years and Concordia University for a year.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Beloit College and a Master of Science Degree in Education and Enrollment Management from Capella University.

Jonathan coaches third and fifth grade basketball and volunteers with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.  His hobbies are sports and collecting trains.

Jonathan is married to his wife Jenifer, and they have four children–Jonathan, Jade, Jordan, and Jackson.  He is from Matteson, Illinois.

Welcome Dan Vande Yacht!

Dan Vande Yacht, Registrar's Office-33Dan Vande Yacht started as the new Registrar back on November 1, 2016.

Prior to UWGB, Dan worked at UW-River Falls (UWRF) as Registrar from 2006 to 2016.  Before that he worked at UW-Colleges (UWC) as Registrar and Director of Admissions and with UW-Extension as Assistant/Associate Director of Student Services, Learning Innovation.  He also spent some time in Admissions at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) before becoming the Registrar at MSOE and also worked at UWRF as Assistant Football Coach and UW-Oshkosh as Assistant Football Coach.

Dan has a Master of Science in Education: Supervision & Instructional Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, with minors in Business Administration and Coaching from the UWRF.

Dan was a member of the River Falls Lions Club, chaired the River Falls Day Committee, and was the Club President in 2015-16. He was also a member of River Falls Police and Fire Commission and River Falls Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board.

 

Dan enjoys spending time with his family and is a big Wisconsin sports fan (Go Pack Go!).  He also enjoys sporting activities and playing ball with his kids.  He has a wife (Kim) and 3 children–Jessica is a 21-year-old junior majoring in Engineering at UW-Milwaukee, Jack is in the 5th grade, and Kaitlin is a 3rd grader in Ashwaubenon.

Dan graduated from Manitowoc Roncalli High School.  His hometown is Brillion, Wisconsin.

Welcome Kurt Nimmer!

Facilities, Kurt Nimmer-1On January 9, 2017, Kurt Nimmer began as an Electrician for Facilities Management.

Kurt was employed by NWTC for 8 years prior to joining UWGB and currently holds a Master Electrician License.

Kurt is married to his wife, Denise, and has two daughters–Amanda (age 25) and Katie (age 22).  He is from Eagle River, Wisconsin.

Welcome Christina Baudhuin

Christina Baudhuin-1Christina Baudhuin was welcomed on January 9, 2017, as an Academic Department Associate in Public and Environmental Affairs.

Prior to joining UWGB, Christina was employed by Forward Services Corporation for two years and has worked in human services for over seven years.  She also established and administered a licensed group childcare business for over 10 years.

Christina holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree-Speech Language Pathologist Assistant and has several years of experience working with children with communication delays/disabilities.

Christina is married to her husband Noel and has two children–Jared and Madisyn.  She is from Kewaunee, Wisconsin.

Welcome Steven Walter!

Steve Walter-1On January 30, 2017, Steven Walter was welcomed as a Custodian in Facilities Management.

Prior to joining UWGB, Steven was employed by St. Vincent Hospital and Libertas Treatment Centers.  He worked 32 years with adults and adolescents with alcohol and drug problems.  Steven attended Fox Valley Technical Institute for truck driving.

In his free time, Steven enjoys boating, golfing, and skiing.  He also loves dogs, actively assisting with the creation of the Kaukauna Dog Park.

Steven has been married to his wife, Julie, for 10 years and is from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Welcome Christy Vincent!

Christy VOn February 27, 2017, Christy Vincent was welcomed as a Student Status Examiner Associate in Admissions.

Prior to joining UWGB, Christy was employed by Bank of Luxemburg.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

Christy is co-coach of a high school Community Problem Solvers Team.  She enjoys outdoor activities, such as canoeing, rafting, and skiing, and also enjoys fitness and cooking.

Christy is from Luxemburg, Wisconsin.  She has two older siblings that also live in the area and a niece and nephew.

Welcome Jane Laurin!

On January 9, 2017, Jane Laurin was welcomed as a new University Services Associate 2 in Natural and Applied Sciences.

Prior to joining UWGB, Jane was employed by NWTC for five years.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Concordia and two Associates Degrees–Health Information Technology and Healthcare Business Services.

Jane grew up on a dairy farm in the U.P. and currently lives in Marinette, Wisconsin.  She is the youngest of 8 children.

Welcome Carly Kibbe!

CarliOn January 6, 2017, Carly Kibbe was welcomed as a new Assistant Professor of Human Biology-Endocrinology in the Human Biology Department.

Carly is from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, and was most recently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine at UW-Madison, studying the genetic contributions to the regulation of pancreatic beta-cell mass in obesity and diabetes, work that she will continue at UW-Green Bay.  Carly’s research experience also includes pre-graduate and graduate work on pancreatic beta-cell physiology, as it related to the development and prevention of diabetes.  She gained teaching experience during the Postdoctoral years, serving as a TA for Biochemistry and Cell Biology, as well as taking several courses in teaching and learning through the Delta and CIRTL Programs at UW-Madison.

Carly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from UW-LaCrosse and her Ph.D. in Endocrinology & Reproductive Physiology from UW-Madison.

Welcome Jason Mathwig!

Continuing Education and Community Engagement welcomed Jason Mathwig as the Director of Camps and Conferences on February 6, 2017.

Jason previously worked at UW-Eau Claire, where he also received his Bachelor’s Degree in 2008.  He recently obtained his Master’s Degree from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Jason is from Fall Creek, Wisconsin.
