On Monday, August 21st Rangarajan Parthasarathy started as an Assistant Professor – Decision Sciences for the Business Administration Department.

Ray has worked for 15-plus years in engineering and management positions and about 10 years in academia. Prior to joining UWGB, he was a faculty member at the University of Illinois where he also served as the academic director of undergraduate studies in Information Systems/Information Technology, director of popular MS degree program and member of the center for health informatics. He has taught courses in the domains of business analytics, statistics, data mining, and information systems.

On Monday, August 21st Thomas Gretton started as an Assistant Professor for the Psychology Department.

Tom is originally from Droitwich Spa, England, United Kingdom. He has his MS in Sport and Exercise Psychology, his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and his PhD in Sport Psychology. Tom was previously a certified Mental Performance Consultant for World Rugby for 2 years. He is an active member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and the American Psychological Association in both research and practice.

On Monday, August 21st EJ Kwak started as an Assistant Professor – Finance for the Accounting & Finance Department.

EJ received her M.S. from the City University of New York – College of Staten Island and her Ph.D from the University of Georgia.

On Monday, August 21st Hyeonsik Shin started as an Assistant Professor – Business Analytics & Decision Sciences for the Business Administration Department.

Hyeonsik received his B.A in Urban Adminstration from the University of Seoul, South Korea and his M.S in Management Information Systems from Seoul National University, South Korea. Lastly, Hyeonsik received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Temple University.

On Monday, August 21st Chelsea Wooding started as an Assistant Professor – Psychology.

Chelsea received her BA in Psychology from California State University – Long Beach. She then got her MS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology from California State Fullerton. As well, Chelsea received both her MA in Counseling and her PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology from West Virgina University.

Previously, Chelsea was an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at North Park University in Chicago, IL from 2020-2023.

On Monday, August 21st, Paolo Segre started as an Assistant Professor – Biology for the Natural And Applied Sciences Department.

Paolo is originally from Chicago, Illinois where he received his Bachelors from the University of Illinois. He later received his Masters from the University of Montana, and his PhD from the University of British Columbia. Paolo also went to Stanford University for a postdoctoral fellowship.

Previously, Paolo worked for Stanford University and Chico State University in California.
