Grants Accountant

This position reports to the Assistant Controller and works with campus school/college/deans/divisional/center/departmental representatives to monitor and reconcile data for sponsored programs. Reviews financial transactions submitted from campus research administrators. Interacts directly with project sponsors, faculty, and staff related to financial reporting, invoicing, and auditing on behalf of the university to ensure compliance.

The position is responsible for the maintenance of cash management systems for grants and accounting for federal financial aid programs.  The Post Award Accountant monitors financial matters for extramural funds and offers guidance to faculty, staff and deans at both pre-award and post-award stages.  The position assists the Controller’s Office in general accounting and financial reporting.

Pre-College Services Advising Specialist

This position reports to Upward Bound Programs Director and assists with planning and delivering of pre-college program activities, strengthens partnerships, ensures adherence to policies, and assists with program administration to establish effective relationships between the university, partners and communities.

UW-Green Bay’s Upward Bound programs serve high school students to enhance academic success, college readiness and completion. The program provides opportunities for participants to learn skills to help them succeed in their precollege performance and pursue higher education. Upward Bound serves students from low-income families and those who would be the first in their family to earn a bachelor’s degree (first-gen).

The Pre-College Services Advising Specialist works closely with high school students in target secondary schools across Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota to provide ongoing guidance, support and resources in order to increase completion of secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of higher education. The Pre-College Services Advising Specialist also works closely with the Upward Bound Programs Director to facilitate student involvement and create detailed reports and monitor budget activities. The advisor performs program activities including student recruitment, direct student service, development and facilitation of programs and partners with school district staff to engage with students. This position calls for a highly organized, flexible and self-directed individual with excellent communication skills.

IT Network Technician

This position reports to the Network Technician III and completes routine planning, installation, maintenance, and recovery efforts of network cabling, hardware, and associated equipment to maintain data and telecommunication technologies. This position is focused on physical infrastructure that includes but is not limited to copper and fiber cabling, IP security cameras, door access hardware, networked printers, data switches, and UPS systems.

New Student Transitions and Family Engagement Manager

This position reports to the Director of Student Engagement and will actively contribute to campus by facilitating on-going new student transition opportunities and family engagement with an emphasis on increasing student retention and supporting student success. This position will monitor onboarding data and work to ensure all students coming to all four campus locations are prepared and Phoenix Ready. The Manager will be responsible for gathering data from primary and secondary sources, identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends from the data, and work collaboratively with Housing and Academic Advising to ensure thorough onboarding of students. This position supervises the Student Ambassador team which supports Orientation, Campus tours, and Welcome programs. This position will be responsible for facilitating programming that supports the University’s goals regarding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Student Services Specialist

This position reports to the Enrollment Services Manager and interacts with students as they matriculate by providing a variety of administrative support and coordination for student process including admissions, registration, financial aid, academic progress, graduation, international education, and course scheduling. Provides information to students, faculty, and staff regarding related processes and maintains and updates student records. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Assist clients (i.e., enrolled and prospective students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public) with routine transactions and inquiries, educate clients about university policies, procedures and resources, advise clients about alternative courses of action, and work collaboratively with other university offices and external agencies on behalf of clients to expedite problem resolution.  Specialists respond proactively to phone, e-mail and in-person inquiries and transactional requests by clarifying the request, diagnosing the problem, researching the resolution, acting on the request, and following up as appropriate. Specialists make recommendations to the Enrollment Services Manager, the Enrollment Services Directors and Dean on procedural and/or business practice improvements and help track customer service metrics to continuously improve student services and satisfaction.

University Union Facilities Technician

This position reports to Associate Director of Union Operations and inspects, maintains, and repairs basic equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, and operational maintenance as needed.

The University Union Facilities Technician is a member of the University Union operations staff with the primary responsibility of maintaining the University Union & Dining equipment, furniture, and building facilities.
