Director, Sharon J. Resch Institute of Music

The Sharon J. Resch Institute of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a full-time Director of the Institute. This is a twelve-month administrative appointment that could include some teaching responsibilities.

This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay’s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.

The Sharon J. Resch Institute of Music was established in 2021 through a $5 million gift, which provided one-time funding for construction of a new Audio Production facility, and an endowment to support student scholarships, equipment and operating expenses, and continued operation of the American International Czech & Slovak Voice Competition, an biennial event hosted by the Sharon Resch Institute of Music.

The Institute Director has oversight over music programs including compliance with standards, accreditation, personnel, and oversight of curriculum and program policies. The individual works with internal and external constituents to ensure the delivery of quality music programs. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

Athletic Compliance & Degree Audit Specialist

This position reports to the Assistant Registrar and collaborates with and supports students, faculty, and staff in the development, implementation, and maintenance of student records and curricular services.

The Coordinator for Athletic Compliance Reporting and Degree Audit Specialist is a member of the Registrar’s Office curricular work sub-group with two primary duties. In the role as Coordinator for Athletic Compliance Reporting, this position is the primary certifying authority for athletic eligibility and completes degree audits and evaluations for all student athletes to ensure NCAA compliance regulations are met for eligibility, progress to degree, by-laws, rules, and regulations. This position will enter all NCAA related data into the NCAA database and liaison with Athletic personnel to coordinate the certification/eligibility processing three times a year.

In the role as Degree Audit Specialist, this position will oversee the collaborative review and notification process used by Enrollment Services division personnel to proactively notify students about fulfillment of their degree requirements to graduate, review all candidates for graduation in each semester cycle, and confer degrees and University honors as applicable. This position will consult and receive all substitution transactions for degree completion and assist Registrar staff members on the annual update, review and construction of the degree audit programming entered into the Student Information System.

Program Coordinator, Wisconsin Training Registries (OPEN TO UNIVERSITIES OF WISCONSIN EMPLOYEES ONLY)

This position reports to the Director of Wisconsin Training Registries, Certified Direct Care Professional (CDCP) program and will provide general administrative support, manage and facilitate outreach training and development of the CDCP programs, including communication with DHS and other outside agencies. Will strengthen partnerships, ensures adherence to policy, and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and collaborative partners. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences.

Significant importance on strong customer service and responsiveness. Will support all functions of the WisCaregiver program including CDCP and CNA collaborations. Includes coordinating various online trainings and will collaborate with the Program Specialist to support outreach efforts and follow-up communication.

Assist in tracking and managing the programs data for reporting purposes.

Assistant Professor – Spanish & Latin American Studies

Spanish and Latin American Studies programs at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invite applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Spanish or related field with a focus on Mexican literature and/or culture of the 20th or 21st centuries with a secondary field in one of the following areas: heritage language and culture, border studies, or migration studies. We are seeking a candidate whose research, teaching, and service will serve to advance UWGB¿s transition to be Hispanic Serving Institution. We are especially interested in candidates with a strong commitment to engaging the Hispanic/Latinx community with the university.

In addition to teaching all levels of Spanish language courses and a wide range of upper-division courses, the ideal candidate will help develop new courses in traditional or on-line formats.

Program Specialist (Temporary)

This position reports to Business and Government Outreach Program Manager and will focus on organizing, developing and the delivery of the Wisconsin Elder Justice Coalition Project. Assists with department policy development and organizing resources to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and Wisconsin community resources and stakeholders. Strives to expand access to programs, facilities, and educational services related to the goals and objectives of the Wisconsin Elder Justice Coalition grant.

Significant importance on strong customer service and responsiveness. Will assess current task force membership and work with a diverse stakeholder group to increase participation in the coalition. Will collaborate with the Program Manager to implement coalition goals as defined in the grant proposal. Will coordinate the system to track and monitor grant efforts to meet objectives and will create quarterly reports of grant activities.

Will maintain grant budget in conjunction with the Office of Grants and Research and will create invoices for grant expenses. Will develop and create the Wisconsin FAST (Finance Abuse Specialist Teams) Team process and education and implement a pilot program. This will include recruiting, developing and supporting a FAST Team in each of the five APS (Adult Protective Services) regions. Develop an Elder Death Review Team (EDRT). The individual will develop and conduct a needs assessment of financial institutions, healthcare entities, law enforcement, and prosecutors to determine their educational needs related to elder justice. They will coordinate the creation of educational materials and training based on the needs assessment.

This position will require some travel throughout the state of Wisconsin for in person meetings and networking. This is a full-time, temporary position with an expected end date of September 30, 2025.
