Assistant Professor – Graphic Design

The Department of Art and Design at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Graphic Design interface and interactive design. Candidates with demonstrated expertise in area(s) of specialization such as web design, UI/UX, data visualization, digital fabrication, circular design, animation, digital illustration, or design research are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit of the Art + Design Department, which includes three other areas: Environmental Design, Studio Art, and Art History. The evolving Graphic Design curriculum emphasizes design thinking and research methods, visual communication skills, verbal articulation of design strategies and concept presentation, interdisciplinary design, and training in design software and technology, including generative AI – skills that prepare students to enter design and visual communication professions, and/or pursue further education in Art and Design. The Graphic Design curriculum aligns with UW-Green Bay’s strategic priorities of sustainability and environmental work, digital transformation, inclusivity, community connections, student success, and Green Bay Athletics and the Weidner Center. In addition, they will excel in design practice and teaching, pursue professional scholarship and research, and bring a design-thinking perspective to departmental and University initiatives.

This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay’s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.

This position reports to Executive Director of University Wellness and Student Counseling Services and provides professional mental health counseling and consultation services for the campus community, incorporates a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students, creates developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus, and provides strategic direction and advocacy for university mental health policy and initiatives.

Financial Aid Officer

This position reports to the Financial Aid Assistant Director – Technology & Compliance and evaluates and verifies financial aid applications, assists with reporting to facilitate the awarding of financial aid to qualifying students, triages financial aid processes, and awards financial aid.

This position will serve multiple roles within the Financial Aid Office. Duties will include file review and verification, working with students and/or families, as well as being available to discuss or present on financial aid at various on or off campus events.  Will assist with awarding various Title IV and State funds, as well as University and external scholarship processing.  Accuracy and attention to detail are required.

Engagement Coordinator

This position reports to the Dean, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and provides administrative support for a department, group of professionals, or to the manager of a work group consisting of professional staff and subordinate supervisors in support of unit goals, under general supervision.
