This position reports in equal parts to the Division of Academic Affairs through the Associate Provost, and the Division of Information Technology through the Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer and provides guidance for the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and its staff. The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning supports the access-oriented teaching, learning, and technology mission of the university. The individual in the position will work collaboratively with numerous offices across the university to support faculty and instructors to advance teaching and learning. The Director provides leadership and support for pedagogy, course design, course delivery, and emerging learning technologies for all teaching modalities through coordination of instructor professional development efforts. This position provides faculty development to advance initiatives that promote student learning and success and facilitates the access mission with four campus locations. Services and programs provided may include, but are not limited to, the following: the advancement of teaching excellence for all teaching modalities, course development and transformation based on enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes, the effective use of teaching and learning technologies and quality course design.

Teaching, Learning, and Technology Consultant (2 Vacancies)

This position reports to the Director of CATL (Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning) and and plays a critical role in the support of teaching excellence and student success. They directly consult with and support university instructors by designing, developing, and enhancing instructional activities, programs, and curricula, and they promote more effective learning experiences in courses offered across different modalities. They also apply learning theory and instructional design models in the consultation, selection, and application of educational methodologies and technologies.

User Support Specialist III (OPEN TO UW SYSTEM EMPLOYEES ONLY)

This position reports to the Director of Technology Support Services and delivers strategically significant and highly specialized information technology (IT) support services to end users in support of institutional technology operation. This position interacts daily with clients who have varying levels of technical expertise and provide them with excellent support and consulting services. The User Support Specialists mentors’ student employees, documents and implements industry standard best practices, and develops and provides training to end users. The position also contributes to the Division of Information technology projects, coordinates resources in support of the client’s diverse business goals, and responsible for specific support areas that includes computer, mobile device, and peripheral acquisition, inventory management, deployment, and support.

Student Services Specialist (Sheboygan Campus)

This position reports to the Enrollment Services Manager and interacts with students as they matriculate by providing a variety of administrative support and coordination for student process including admissions, registration, financial aid, academic progress, graduation, international education, and course scheduling. Provides information to students, faculty, and staff regarding related processes and maintains and updates student records. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Assist clients (i.e., enrolled and prospective students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public) with routine transactions and inquiries, educate clients about university policies, procedures and resources, advise clients about alternative courses of action, and work collaboratively with other university offices and external agencies on behalf of clients to expedite problem resolution.  Specialists respond proactively to phone, e-mail and in-person inquiries and transactional requests by clarifying the request, diagnosing the problem, researching the resolution, acting on the request, and following up as appropriate.  Specialists make recommendations to the Enrollment Services Manager, the Enrollment Services Directors and Dean on procedural and/or business practice improvements and help track customer service metrics to continuously improve student services and satisfaction.

Deadline Extended – Director, Technology Support Services (Revised Qualifications)

This position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for the Division of Information Technology and is a working director, responsible for ensuring a customer-focused approach to delivering information technology services for UWGB. This position provides overall tactical and operational leadership, directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of enterprise endpoint technology tools through oversight of the IT Service Desk, endpoint deployment and support, and AV services; across four campus locations.  This role serves as the IT Service Management leader for the division, responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining ITIL modeled processes across the division.
