Assistant Professor – Computer Science/Software Engineering (2 Vacancies)

The Resch School of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for two tenure-track positions in Computer Science or Software Engineering, one beginning in January 2025 and the second in August 2025. These positions may contribute to general Computer Science; emphases in machine learning/AI, cybersecurity, and data science; and a new BS in Software Engineering in addition to contributing to the general education mission of the university. The successful applicant will contribute to a growing Computer Science program, a new BS in Software Engineering, and partnerships with Microsoft and regional industries. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to engage students in undergraduate research projects and be involved in community outreach projects, including STEM outreach activities and summer camps.

Executive Director of University Wellness & Student Counseling Services

This position reports to the Assistant Chancellor for Student Affairs and oversees and manages personnel, operations, policy, logistics, and strategic planning. Serves as the primary liaison from Counseling Services to the college and surrounding community. Oversees counseling and education services to students and consultation to students, faculty, and staff. Ensures staff and programs work collaboratively and effectively with other areas of the college.

This position will also support students via case management and the provision of health and wellness education. The Director will provide support to Prevea Health staff and oversight for all wellness-related needs on behalf of campus and the Universities of Wisconsin. This position will work to create a safe and equitable environment for all UW-Green Bay students, where all can feel a sense of place and pride.

Outreach Program Manager

This position reports to Executive Officer, Continuing Education & Workforce Training and provides guidance for program development, implementation and evaluation of a wide range of healthcare, human services and non-profit continuing education programs, including certificates, workshops and seminars. Assesses market needs and trends to continuously update and expand program offerings. Will lead in delivering high-quality and relevant educational offerings that meet the changing needs of the community and industry standards and implement evaluation processes to monitor program effectiveness and student satisfaction. Will monitor and allocate program resources, including funding, staffing, facilities and technology, to optimize program delivery and ensure enrollment and revenue outcomes.

The role requires a strategic leader who collaborates with a variety of stakeholders, including industry professionals, academic staff and university marketing to identify educational needs, design curriculum and promote programs to increase enrollment. Will work closely and foster strong relationships with healthcare organizations, community partners and industry stakeholders to pursue partnerships and funding opportunities to enhance program relevance and employment opportunities for participants

Strives to expand and ensure access to credit and non-credit programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences throughout Wisconsin and beyond.

Assistant Teaching Professor – Human Biology & Nutritional Science

The Human Biology program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Nutritional Sciences.

Assistant Teaching Professor, Writing Foundations

The Writing Foundations program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Writing Foundations, which is comprised of first-year writing, rhetoric/argumentation, and creative nonfiction. Preference will be given to applicants who have specialty or sub-specialty in New Media Studies, Film, Journalism, Professional Writing, or Graphic Narrative Studies.

This position will contribute to an academic program that strikes a balance between teacher autonomy and programmatic support. Our program is progressive, flexible, and collegial. Primary teaching load will be taught in-person on Green Bay campus, but the successful candidate must be available to teach on our Sheboygan/Manitowoc campuses as needed and must have experience with all virtual modalities. Experience integrating generative AI in the classroom is preferred.

Student Success Data & Retention Strategist

This position reports to Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Access and Success and analyzes, plans, and creates complex data and report sets for academic and/or university program planning.

The Student Success Data and Retention Strategist will support UW-Green Bay student success by collecting, analyzing and presenting data in order to make recommendations to improve student success and retention. The position will work collaboratively across the university to analyze data and determine efficacy of student success initiatives and resources in order to identify opportunities for improvement. The specialist will collaborate with UW-Green Bay’s four colleges and other departments to provide and analyze student success data specific to their areas. This position will lead UW-Green Bay’s Coordinated Care team, maintain and initiate processes to keep Navigate up to date, liaison with EAB technical support and respond to training requests as needed.
