Associate Director of Facilities Management

This position reports to the Director of Facilities Management and Planning and is a responsible, managerial, and supervisory position. This position will provide leadership and direction to the supervisors of the HVAC, Maintenance, and Operations departments within the division. This position also supervises two Maintenance Supervisors at the Marinette and Sheboygan branch campuses. The incumbent organizes, evaluates, and manages the daily physical plant operations of assigned campuses and centers in a healthy, safe and secure manner that is consistent with campus academic and student program needs, university policies and standards and all applicable regulatory agency codes. They provide support to the operational supervisors involving employee performance, recruitment, and decision-making.

On October 22, 2019, the Facilities Management department welcomed Rick Klein as a Facilities Repair Worker at our Sheboygan Campus.

Prior to working at the Sheboygan Campus, Rick worked backstage for local theatre productions. He is from Sheboygan Falls.

Dean Assistant

This position reports to the Dean of the College of Health, Education, and Social Welfare and is responsible for management of the operating budget and finances of the college. This position is the primary contact for accounting, budgets, and financial procedures including payroll, travel expenses, purchasing, and invoices. This position works with college leadership and staff to coordinate contract letters, payroll forms, and other documents. This position also provides administrative support for the Dean and Associate Dean and is responsible for other general office management functions.

Custodian (1st Shift)

This position reports to the Custodial Services Program Supervisor and maintains the overall appearance and cleanliness of the designated work area.  Work performed in this position includes manual cleaning and maintenance of UWGB buildings.  General areas of responsibility include: cleaning offices, restrooms, and other building areas; maintaining all floor surfaces including mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, and refinishing; cleaning windows (inside and outside); cleaning furniture; assisting with furniture, piano and equipment moves as required; stocking restrooms and custodial work areas with necessary supplies and products; waste and recycling removal; snow removal and salting of building entrances. This position will be required to drive a State vehicle and travel between work locations as needed.

On October 21, 2019, the International Education department welcomed Miriam Brabham as a Study Abroad Coordinator.

Miriam comes to UWGB from Sodexo Western Illinois University where she worked for 3 years. She has a BA from Western Illinois University in Political Science Pre Law. She enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring.

She is originally from Evanston, Illinois. Her family consists of her Mother – Margaret, Father – Shlomo, and Brother – Ezra.

Position at UWGB: Senior Associate AD for Development

Summary of what you do: I oversee anything that generates external revenue for the department including fundraising, ticket sales and corporate sponsorships.

How long have you been employed: 5 years (heading into my 6th season); prior to UW-Green Bay I worked for Downtown Green Bay, Inc. for 12 years

Brief history of employment with UWGB: I started with the University in July of 2014 as the Assistant Director of Development for the Athletic Department strictly focused on fundraising and have grown in my role now to include all areas of revenue generation for the department.

Three words that describe you: Energetic, genuine and optimistic

Personal interests: Spending time with my family (preferably in the north woods) which includes my husband Nate (a 2003 GB grad), our three kids Alice, George and Michael and our Newfoundland puppy Becky.

Random facts/interests: I’m currently going back to school for the first time in 15 years here at UW-Green Bay as part of the Applied Leadership master’s program with plans to graduate in May 2020.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? I absolutely love the team of people I get to work with in Athletics because it’s a high energy, fast-paced environment. I also have the privilege to connect with some incredible supporters, alumni and legends of the program. The picture of me with this write-up is with Coach Carol Hammerle who was an idol of mine growing up – special moments like this make my job the best!
