University of Wisconsin-Green Bay recently conducted a search open to UW System employees and Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance, Sheryl Van Gruensven, would like to announce the appointment of Christine Olson as Director of Human Resources, effective August 15, 2016.
Christine joined UW-Green Bay in 2008 as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, where she performed bi-weekly payroll, employee benefits counseling, coordination of annual employee benefits fair and served as campus I-9 coordinator. Christine then moved into the role of Human Resources Manager with duties such as labor relations, recruitment, guidance and oversight for direct reports, understanding and interpreting various state, federal and UW System employment laws and drafting/communication of policies and procedures. Christine’s final appointment has been as Assistant Director of Human Resources since January of 2016 with duties of managing day-to-day operations of human resource functions at UW-Green Bay, employee relations, contracts, career progressions, policy development, and employee development, just to name a few. Christine holds an Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Bachelor’s in Business Management and plans to pursue her Master’s Degree in the near future.
