The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Chemistry (Inorganic). Candidates with interdisciplinary interests such as environmental and green chemistry are strongly encouraged to apply.
This position includes the following responsibilities:
* Teach introductory and upper-level courses in chemistry, including introductory chemistry (and labs), inorganic chemistry (and lab), and courses related to the candidate’s specific expertise and interests.
* Possibly contribute to the Master’s level graduate program in Environmental Science and Policy.
* Advise students.
* Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank, including developing a strong research program involving collaboration with students, faculty, and individuals inside and outside the University.
* Perform institutional service and contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the department.
In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to display a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship and a commitment to undergraduate education. The candidate should also possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
