Assistant Professor – Mathematics

The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Mathematics.  Candidates with experience and/or interest in actuarial science and demonstrated research in geometry and/or topology are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position includes the following responsibilities:
* Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in Mathematics, including but not necessarily limited to Proofs in Number Theory and Topology (MATH 314), Foundations of Geometry (MATH 385), and those from the calculus sequence (MATH 202, 203, 209).
* Teach or develop additional undergraduate and/or graduate courses in support of the department.
* Advise students.
* Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank, including developing a strong research program involving collaboration with students, faculty, and individuals inside and outside the University.
* Perform institutional service and contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the department.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to display a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship and a commitment to undergraduate education.  The candidate should also possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
