“There is No UWGB without U!”
Employee Appreciation Week is being celebrated May 2-6 on campus! This is a week to honor employees. The Employee Appreciation Week Work Group is putting the final touches together on a week of fun, and we encourage all employees to take part in activities during this week and the few days leading up to it. More activites will be added to the schedule as they are confirmed!
By Noon on Friday, April 29:

- Submit a Shoutout or Thank You to a fellow UWGB co-worker via the Qualtrics Survey or send them to Jena Richter at richterj@uwgb.edu. All comments will be posted anonymously on the UWGB Compliments page at (https://www.facebook.com/UWGBCompliments/). So make sure you go out and “LIKE” this page.

May 2 – 6 Week long events:
- Continue to send compliments to Jena Richter at richterj@uwgb.edu for the UWGB Compliments Facebook page.
- Take advantage of Shorewood’s lunch special for staff and faculty— Lunch, a drink, and 3 holes of golf for $10. (Please call ahead to reserve. Ex: 2118)
- 30% savings on a new line of Outdoor Activity Merchandise at the Phoenix Bookstore
- Watch the Social Media pages of HR and other departments for great updates throughout the week. Be sure to also check out the UWGB Compliments Facebook page where we will be posting anonymous messages we have received to thank fellow employees.
- FREE Popcorn* for all employees in the Phoenix Club, please bring your ID.
Tuesday May 3:
- FREE Ice Cream* for all employees outside the Phoenix Bookstore from 1 pm to 3 pm
- Flavors include: Cookies and Cream, Mint Chip, Chocolate, Strawberry, Butter Pecan, and Pretzel Palooza
- Please bring your ID
Wednesday, May 4
- 20% off all apparel at the Phoenix Bookstore. Stock up for the summer!
Thursday, May 5:
- Casual Dress Day (All Day)
- Team Building Activities- take a break and participate in activities with your co-workers.
- 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m., across campus
- At 12:15 there will be a competition between Campus Leadership that you won’t want to miss!
- We will have Giant Checkers, Jenga, Jump Rope, Skip It, Connect 4, Ping Pong and so many more games for you to play.
- Sue Bodilly and friends will be organzing a Pickle Ball game or two.
- Come get your picture taken with Phlash.
Friday, May 6:
- Phoenix Friday
- 20% off all apparel at the Phoenix Bookstore. Stock up for the summer!
- 50 and Forward Celebration
- Fireworks, Kress Center Parking lot at Dusk, approx. 8 pm
*Ice cream and popcorn funded by the University Staff Committee
