Summer Conference, Camps, and Housing Intern (2 Vacancies)

This intern position reports to the Education Outreach Executive Manager and assists and supports Housing and Residential Education and the Camps & Youth Programming Office in a shared role. The primary responsibility of this role is to support and assist with data entry and logistical coordination for the Camps Office within the Department. The secondary responsibility of this role is to support Housing and Residential Education as a whole, through project initiatives, management, and implementation. For summer 2024, this position will support the opening of a new residential building.

Pre-College Services Advising Specialist

This position reports to Upward Bound Programs Director and assists with planning and delivering of pre-college program activities, strengthens partnerships, ensures adherence to policies, and assists with program administration to establish effective relationships between the university, partners and communities.

UW-Green Bay’s Upward Bound programs serve high school students to enhance academic success, college readiness and completion. The program provides opportunities for participants to learn skills to help them succeed in their precollege performance and pursue higher education. Upward Bound serves students from low-income families and those who would be the first in their family to earn a bachelor’s degree (first-gen).

The Pre-College Services Advising Specialist works closely with high school students in target secondary schools across Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota to provide ongoing guidance, support and resources in order to increase completion of secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of higher education. The Pre-College Services Advising Specialist also works closely with the Upward Bound Programs Director to facilitate student involvement and create detailed reports and monitor budget activities. The advisor performs program activities including student recruitment, direct student service, development and facilitation of programs and partners with school district staff to engage with students. This position calls for a highly organized, flexible and self-directed individual with excellent communication skills.

AV Technician III

This position reports to the IT Supervisor and maintains classroom audio-visual (AV) hardware and software systems. Leads the preparation of rooms, venues, or events with proper AV equipment and streaming capabilities to ensure proper functionality.

Union Facilities Technician

This position reports to Associate Director of Union Operations and inspects, maintains, and repairs basic equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, and operational maintenance as needed.

The Union Facilities Technician is a member of the University Union operations staff with the primary responsibility of maintaining the University Union & Dining equipment, furniture, and building facilities. This position will perform proper preventative maintenance, building & equipment repairs and assist in the replacement of items as needed. This position will work to create a safe and inclusive environment for all UW Green Bay students where all feel a sense of place and pride.

Academic Technology Support Specialist

This position reports to the Director of Academic Technology Services and plays a key role in supporting the technological needs of classrooms, conference rooms, and distance education classrooms at the University. This position will provide support for multimedia instructional needs and classroom media including recommending solutions, system configuration and maintenance, troubleshooting and provides training. The Academic Technology Support Specialist assists with planning and installing the audio-visual technologies in all classrooms, labs, and meeting rooms. This position will also provide support for the configuration, installation, and maintenance of campus digital signage solutions.

Area Coordinator – Residential Education

This position reports to the Associate Director and oversees programming and support for residents living in campus housing, responds to emergency situations, and helps to create an inclusive and safe living community. Supports mission and vision of Housing department to ensure student success and satisfaction.

The Area Coordinator position assists in carrying out the mission and philosophy of Housing and Residential Education. Housing and Residential Education provides housing for 2,000 students. The Area Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a residential area of approximately 700-800 residents; and with the assistance of Student Hall Managers (HMs) and Resident Mentors (RMs), strives to develop and maintain a safe, enjoyable, supportive and inclusive living environment for residents where they can achieve academic success and personal growth and development. The Area Coordinator will have department wide responsibility for one of the following specialty areas: Residential Curriculum/Academic Initiatives, Staff Recruitment/Staff Development, or Resident Engagement/Leadership Development. The Area Coordinator is a member of the Residential Education team and holds administrative responsibilities, participates in committees and meetings, and serves students in a multitude of ways. The Area Coordinator will also have assigned summer responsibilities including: summer student housing, summer camps/conferences, guest housing, summer staff supervision, and other duties related to summer operations and fall opening preparations. The Area Coordinator will assume additional responsibilities assigned by and makes recommendations to the Associate Director.

University Police Administrative Assistant II

Systems Administrator

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions Operations and provides functional support for the Office of Admissions’ customer relationship management system (CRM), Salesforce, and the integrations from various systems that supply data for use recruitment, communication, and analysis. The position also maintains the CRM’s day-to-day business processes and is responsible for data integrity and security including, but not limited to: record consolation, import of various datasets, mapping, communication (email and text message) deployment, development and maintenance of queries, reports, fields, prompts, forms, rules, etc. As part of the CRM, Salesforce instance, this position will support the following tools: Pardot (communication), Mogli (texting), Form Assembly, Communities portal (Wings).

Configures, integrates, administers, and provides advanced and varied consultation, project management, and operational support of highly complex applications or services with a large number of users. Anticipates issues and devises resolution methodology to support the business operations of the institution. This position works closely alongside the Admissions leadership team and staff in the division of Information Technology, specifically the team supporting the CRM, such as the Business Analyst and Data Integration Specialist.

This position is responsible for maximizing the available technology for the purpose of recruiting students to UW-Green Bay. A special emphasis is placed on developing and implementing robust applications for the CRM software, along with developing reports to support analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Return on Investment (ROI).

This position reports to the Director of Upward Bound Programs and provides program support for UW-Green Bay’s Upward Bound Programs which is made up of two grant funded programs: Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math and Science. The Administrative Services Professional serves as the program support, primary customer service representative, and maintains student and program records for the department. This position operates under general supervision and reports to the Director of Upward Bound programs for the program responsibilities. This position also functions within a team concept and supports all Division of Student Access and Success programs.
