On Monday, August 21st 2023 Michael Knight started as a Lecturer for the Music Department.

Michael has degrees from the University of Iowa (DMA), the University of Georgia (MM), and the University of Missouri (BSE). Michael has previously worked for the University of Missouri, the University of Delaware, Iowa Wesleyan University and St. Norbert College.

Welcome Ruth Hayden!

On Monday, August 21st 2023 Ruth Hayden started as an Assistant Teaching Professor – Mathematics for the Resch School of Engineering.

Ruth received her Bachelor of Science from Norther Michigan University and then went on to get her Masters from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Ruth was previously a part0-time faculty member of the Mathematics and Statistics Department at UWGB!

Welcome Md Golam Sarwar Murshed!

On Monday, August 21st 2023, Md Golam Sarwar started as an Assistant Professor in the Resch School of Engineering!

Md Golam Sarwar is originally from Mymensingh, Dhaka, Bangladesh and received his Phd from Clarkson University in New York. Previously he worked as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at Clarkson University for 5 years as well as a Lead Software Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute of Bangladesh for 5 years.

On Monday August 21, 2023, Ari started as an Assistant Teaching Professor – Mathematics with the Resch School of Engineering! Ari went to DePaul University for his Masters in Math Education and Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Ari previously worked for the City Colleges of Chicago for 7 years!

Welcome Jean Sturzl!

On Tuesday, August 15th, Jean Sturzl started as an Administrative Services Prof. Business & Government for the Continuing Education & Community Engagement department.

Jean received her Bachelor’s degree in teaching from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and her Masters in educational technology from Marian University. For the last 19 years, Jean taught in the Ashwaubenon School District as a Gifted/Talented teacher, 5th grade teacher and a middle school math teacher.

Welcome Dr. Dawn Crim!

On Wednesday, August 9th 2023, Dr. Crim started as Vice Chancellor for Inclusivity and Community Engagement!

Dr. Crim is originally from Philadelphia, and she has an extensive educational background including her BA in Rhetoric and Communications from University of Virgina, her M ED Counselor Education from Penn State University and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from UW-Madison! Dr. Crim has worked at UW-Madison for the last 21 years!

Welcome Shawna Keating!

On Monday August 7, 2023, Shawna started as Career Advisor for Career Services! Shawna received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Practices from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She then went on to get her Master of Science in Counseling and Student Personnel with an emphasis on College Student Affairs from Minnesota State University – Mankato. While at UW-Milwaukee she worked as an Administrative Student Coordinator in University Housing. During her time at Minnesota State University – Mankato she worked in Residential Life as a Student Services Coordinator.
