Welcome Brianna Johnson!

On Wednesday, January 10th 2024, Brianna Johnson started as an Upward Bound Math and Science Coordinator and Student Advisor for the Pre-College Department!

Brianna did her undergraduate and graduate studies at Lakeland University. Brianna was previously employed at Green Bay Area Public Schools as a 7th grade math and science teacher.

Welcome Jacie Haas!

On Wednesday, January 10th 2024, Jacie Haas started as an Upward Bound Coordinator and Student Advisor for the Pre-College department!

Jacie is originally from Black Creek, WI. She graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2021 with a degree in Social Work. She then worked with the Boys and Girls Club as a School – Based Graduation Specialist before coming to work at UWGB!

Multicultural Advisor

This position reports to the Multicultural Resource Center Director and advises multicultural student organizations and student leadership and affiliates, develops and executes programming, and serves on institutional committees to support multicultural students and their allies.

Welcome Laura Jones!

On Monday, November 6th Laura Jones started as a Career Advisor for the Career Planning & Professional Connections Department!

Laura studied Sociology and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Norbert College. She also received her Master’s Degree in Student Affairs Administration in May 2021 from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse and is now working towards her Doctoral Degree in Educational Management at Hampton University. Laura has previously worked for the Boys and Girls Club as a STAR (Scholars on Target to Achieve Results) Coordinator from 2019 – 2021. She has also worked as the Social and Community Outreach Service Director for African Heritage, Inc. from 2021 – 2023.

Laura is also the co-author of Chapter in the book, “Teaching Brilliant Beautiful Black Girls”!

On Wednesday, November 8th, Valerie Rike started as an Administrative Assistant III for the University Police!

Valerie graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics and a minor in German. Valerie has previously worked for University of Iowa Department of Public Safety and Brown County 911!
