The Official Functions Event Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping some of the University’s most meaningful and memorable experiences. Based in the Chancellor’s Office, this position leads the planning, coordination, and execution of Official University Events—high-profile occasions that celebrate our students, honor our alumni, engage our employees, and strengthen connections with the broader community. The manager ensures these events are flawlessly executed, inclusive, and aligned with the University’s mission and values.


This highly visible role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, requiring exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for building connections. The coordinator will work closely with University leadership, faculty, staff, and community partners to deliver events that inspire pride, foster engagement, and elevate the University’s reputation. From milestone celebrations (Commencement) to collaborative community programs (Estamos Aqui), this position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the University’s culture, relationships, and public presence.
