Welcome Stephanie Shedrow!

On August 20, 2018, the Education department welcomed Stephanie Shedrow as an Assistant Professor – Education.

Prior to coming to UW-Green Bay, Stephanie was a graduate assistant at UW-Madison, a Lecturer at UW-Oshkosh, a k-12 teacher/instructional coach in the Clark Country School District in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Milwaukee Public Schools. After graduating from UW-Lacrosse, she lived and worked in Milwaukee and then moved to Las Vegas to teach seventh grade reading and English. There is where she met her husband and obtained her Master’s degree. Before leaving, she became an instructional coach. In 2013, Stephanie and her husband Richard, moved back to Wisconsin so she could attend UW-Madison’s Teacher Education Ph.D. program. She graduated with her Ph.D. in May of 2018.

Stephane is a graduate of Preble High School. She attained her undergraduate degree from UW-Lacrosse, Master’s from University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and Ph.D. from UW-Madison.

Stephanie currently doesn’t have a lot of time for extracurricular activities with three kids (one an infant) and a new faculty position! But, she says, when things settle down she enjoys running and reading. She has a very active family and often attends community events and local kid “hot spots” around town (splash pads, Children’s Museum, Sprinkle Fest, etc.) and enjoy camping in Door County.

Stephanie is married to Richard since 2009 and they have three daughters Quinn who is 5, Everly who is 2, and Amaya who was born in May and is currently 3 months old.

Stephanie is very excited to be back in Green Bay and working at UWGB!

Welcome, Stephanie!
