Navigating personal and professional uncertainties can significantly impact a person in higher education, creating both challenges and opportunities for change. This session will explore how daily stressors can lead to burnout and disconnection from our core purpose. We’ll discuss practical self-care strategies and positive psychology approaches tailored for higher education professionals. Attendees are asked to reexamine their internal motivation and redefine their purpose in life. The goal is to equip attendees with tools to not only manage stress but to thrive professionally and personally, ultimately enhancing the educational experience for students and colleagues alike.

Nacho Enriquez Jr. is a nationally recognized keynote speaker, wellbeing expert, and the leading authority on emotional wellness for first responders, blending nearly two decades of law enforcement experience with a Master of Science in Education specializing in Community Mental Health Counseling. As the founder and president of Ascent Consulting, LLC, Nacho has collaborated with over 25 law enforcement agencies, including the Madison Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, as well as corporate giants like Plexus Inc. and U.S. Venture Inc., helping professionals in high-pressure roles overcome the emotional toll of their careers.
