The Director of Player Development will design curriculum and teach in person and on-line courses in the area of Physical Education. This position will deliver courses that fulfill the certificate in coaching program. The individual will plan and organize instruction and learning strategies in ways that maximize student learning. The successful candidate will report to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, and will also assist in the oversight of the operations of the women’s basketball program.
This position includes the following responsibilities:
- Teach assigned Physical Education courses.
- Design and deliver curriculum in person and online.
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Market the coaching certificate program to a wide range of audiences.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the women’s basketball program.
- Plan travel to away games, bussing, airfare, and hotels.
- Coordinate with visiting teams for their needs.
- Use film exchange service to coordinate all film exchange during the season.
- Facilitate scheduling with the Kress Events Center staff and the Resch Center.
- Hire, supervise, and train student managers.
