From Bagels to the Board Room: A Baker’s Dozen of TipsAt just 23 years old, Ann Seidl opened the first fresh bagel shop north of Milwaukee with friend, Sue Hougard. SueAnn’s Bagels became a seven-location bagel/coffee business. Throughout her time managing her chain of stores and then moving onto the corporate world at BayCare Clinic, Ann has gathered a few tips she would have liked to have known at 23.Ann has mastered owning a small business, managed teams of all shapes and sizes and worked in a variety of industries – all while balancing a family with a demanding career. Ann will share her “baker’s dozen” of tips that she has learned – and how you can apply these tips to a successful and evolving career.

Director of Marketing/Public Relations
BayCare ClinicAnn Seidl is the director of marketing and public relations for BayCare Clinic. Ann is a Luxemburg native and a UW- Green Bay alumna. In 2005, Ann joined BayCare Clinic and in 2006, she sold SueAnn’s Bagels, a seven-location bagel/coffee business that she co-founded 17 years prior.At BayCare Clinic, she provides strategic planning and brand management for advertising, promotions, public relations and overall communications. Ann is building regional awareness of the clinic’s stellar medical reputation and advanced capabilities. She directs the BayCare Clinic Foundation and Government Relations Board, along with serving on the Foundation’s board. Throughout her career, Ann has served and volunteered for several community boards.
