1. When will you graduate?
I wi
ll be graduating in Spring 2019.

2. What are your career plans?
Currently, I don’t have a particular career in mind, which leaves me with a host of different o
ptions. I am most interested in psychological anthropology or marriage/family counseling. I am highly considering continuing school to get my Master’s.

3. Why did you major in psychology?
I chose to major in psychology because it is a field in which I can really relate.
The field of psychology is still relatively young and there is so much to learn, and I would love nothing more than to be a part of that. Helping and educating people is something I have great passion for!

4. What do you do for fun?
I love to travel! One of my goals is to collect a snow globe with every state
name. Other than that, I like to watch movies and anime (my latest binge has been Avatar: The Last Airbender), play video/board games, go on long hikes, try new food, learn about other cultures, sail, and snuggle with my kitty– all with my husband, of course!

5. What academic experience or accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of b
eing invited to become a teaching assistant this semester. Being able to help others learn the material is one of the best ways to learn something better yourself, and I find that to be a very valuable experience. I am also proud of belonging to Psi Chi and Phi Kappa Phi.

6. What’s your favorite movie, book, and TV show related to psychology?
I would have to say my all-time favorite book would be the psychological thriller,
The Shining. However, Fight Club is a close second and probably my favorite film related to psychology. A couple other favorites would be Donnie Darko, Good Will Hunting, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The Stanford Prison Experiment is also pretty good, and it’s on Netflix right now!

7. What single thing do you hope to accomplish at UWGB before graduating?
I hope to pinpoint a more direct career path before I graduate
, which might even lead me to applying to graduate programs.

8. What else do you want people to know about you?
After my husband and I graduate, pay off loans, and save up, we want to purchase a live-aboard sailboat
in which we plan to travel to at least the Caribbean and Europe in. Perhaps one day we might even circumnavigate the world.
