1. When will you graduate? I will be graduating this May 2017.
2. What are your career plans? I hope on going into full time ministry, specifically with college students.
3. Why did you major in psychology? I originally majored in Psychology so that I would gain a degree in Criminal Psychology to be able to go into the prison systems of Green Bay and its surrounding areas to help with the inmates due to the high numbers of non-diagnosed mental disorders. I wanted to help inmates in their circumstances, but also pair my psychology skills with the gospel and working with inmates from both a Psychological perspective but also from a perspective of faith.
4. What do you do for fun? I love to cook for and spend time playing board games with friends and hosting events, re-purposing furniture, and I also love to watch Gilmore Girls with a nice big cup of coffee.
5. What academic experience or accomplishment are you most proud of? I am proud of presenting my undergraduate research studies at the Midwestern Psychological Association in Chicago, Illinois.
6. What’s your favorite movie, book, and TV show related to psychology? For favorites psych movies I am stuck between “Shutter Island” and “The Blind Side”, one for clear depiction of racial and cultural difficulties and the other because of its depiction of a person suffering from Disassociative Identity Disorder and how it affects them throughout the plot of the film. My favorite book would be “Snoop” by Gosling and my favorite TV show would be “The Mentalist”, its pure genius.
7. What single thing do you hope to accomplish at UWGB before graduating? I hope to be an example of a person of faith to my peers, while also learning all that I can while I am here. I love to learn new things, no matter what the perspective.
8. What else do you want people to know about you? The most important thing in my life is my relationship with God, and how He brings me peace, and I can trust that He has a plan and purpose for my life.
