Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

The resources in this section are available to help instructors engage with instructional design and programming opportunities which center equity, celebrate and are responsive to cultural diversity, and seek to provide examples of inclusionary practices to increase student success. Equity in this section refers to equitable access to materials and technologies as well as equitable pedagogical strategies to mitigate equity gaps for historically minoritized students. Diversity refers to decolonizing curriculum, creating more robust group work opportunities which emphasize asset-based and growth-mindset education, or providing students with an array of options through which they can demonstrate mastery of learning outcomes. Inclusion in this section refers to Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning and also the inclusion of cultural texts, media, and examples in instructional materials with which students can identify.
