Green Bay’s Not-So-Hidden Gems

So, you’re ready to come and see the Green Bay campus – wahoo! As long as you’re coming, you might as well check out the town. Here are five fun places to visit for a real taste of Green Bay.

Bay Beach

An oldie but a goodie! Part amusement park, part time capsule, Bay Beach is the perfect place for fun for all ages. With no park admission cost and ride tickets for just 25 cents, it’s a bargain for all the fun! Ride the Zippin’ Pippin’ (pictured above) for a thrill or take a slow ride on our Big Wheel and get an bird’s eye view of the city.

NEW Zoo

While you’re high in the sky, look down the road and you’ll see the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park! Spend time with our local furry friends – like deer, goats, and pigs – before meeting some from all across the globe! If you’re up for it, challenge yourself on the high ropes course or zipline over the pond.

The Arboretum

After you visit our regional wildlife in the zoo, try and find them out in nature! With 290 acres and over six miles of trails open for hiking, biking, bird watching and meandering, the Cofrin Memorial Arboretum is the perfect place to relax after some fun. An extension of the Green Bay campus, the arboretum is used by both the campus and the surrounding community for recreation.

Farmer’s Market

Visiting on a Wednesday or Saturday? Head down to the farmer’s market to fuel your fun! The Farmer’s Market on Broadway takes over Broadway Avenue on Wednesdays with 90+ vendors, while the Saturday Farmers Market fills the heart of downtown with vendors and even free yoga classes. There’s things for every diet and lifestyle to explore!

Lambeau Field

Did you really think we’d skip this one? Part museum, part shrine, Lambeau Field is definitely worth the visit! Take a tour of the stadium or walk through the Packer Hall of Fame (or both, we don’t judge). We’re proud to be centered in Titletown!

We hope you’ll see that there are so many impactful experiences when you live and learn in the third largest city in the state! We can’t wait for you to visit campus to show you what an innovative university with caring staff can do for you.
