From the Director’s Desk: Spring 2022

Executive Director of Admissions Rachele BakicBeyond all of the visits and admitted student excitement, we’re also here for your rising students – freshmen, sophomores and juniors alike. Meagan Strehlow, Associate Executive Officer for K12 & Community Relations in the Division of Continuing Education and Community Engagement (CECE), has been working diligently with her staff to develop programming for your younger students. Summer events are coming soon, but CECE also offers a wide range of ways for students to earn college credits in high school or receive assistance through UW-Green Bay.

High School Students Become a Summer Scholar

Currently, scholarships are available for summer & fall online dual credit classes. UW-Green Bay offers online dual enrollment courses through our Dual Enrollment Access Academy and Summer Scholars programs for all students grades 9-12. This summer, CECE is very excited to offer a limited number of scholarships available for students who are eligible for free/reduced lunch to take courses through those programs. Scholarship recipients would have all course costs (including tuition, fees, and course materials) paid for. In the table below, find the information for the enrollment processes for summer and fall.

Summer Scholar Enrollment Fall Academy Enrollment
Summer classes are six weeks long, beginning June 20 and ending July 31. Students must register by May 30. The Summer Scholar scholarship application must be completed before registering for classes.

Fall courses are 14 weeks long, beginning September 7 and ending December 18. Students must register by August 8. The Dual Enrollment Academy scholarship application must be completed before registering for classes.

Create, explore, learn.

If your students are looking for other enrichment opportunities in their passion areas, CECE also hosts various summer camps for high schoolers across all four campuses. From PRIDE camps and Wizarding Academy to video game programming and ceramics, these summer camps are a great way for students to stay engaged in the summer months.

We’re so thankful for the amazing work that Meagan and the K12 Relations and Community Relations staff do for UW-Green Bay and students in the surrounding areas.
