UW-Green Bay Chancellor Gary L. Miller released the following statement via e-mail to UW-Green Bay employees on Wednesday, May 6, 2015:
I wish to announce that Dr. Stephen Fritz has resigned as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs effectively immediately. I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Fritz for his work during this difficult transition.
I have appointed Dr. Greg Davis to the position of Interim Provost. Dr. Davis will begin his new role immediately and will serve for and indeterminate term. I very much appreciate Dr. Davis’ willingness to accept this critical role as we complete the budget reduction process and look forward to an exciting 50th anniversary year.

UW-Green Bay Chancellor Gary L. Miller released the following invitation to faculty, staff and students on Thursday, March 19, 2015:
Faculty, Staff and Students,
President Ray Cross will visit the UWGB campus on Tuesday, March 24th to meet with students, faculty and staff to listen to concerns and hear suggestions regarding the budget and other matters of importance to you. He will also bring the latest news about the System. He will hold two Town Hall meetings. The student Town Hall meeting will at 11:30 a.m. and the faculty and staff Town Hall meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held in University Theatre.
This is an important opportunity. I hope many of you will join President Cross on Tuesday.

UW-Green Bay Chancellor Gary L. Miller released the following statement via e-mail to employees on Thursday, February 26, 2015:
Colleagues,
At our last Town Hall meeting there were a number of questions regarding faculty and staff benefits in a new University Authority. Attached is a memo from Alan Crist, Senior Associate Vice President at UW System, which affirms that the biennial budget bill currently before the Legislature does not propose changes to benefits currently available to UW System employees or to those employees in a University System.

On Monday, June 2, Gary L. Miller was named the sixth chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Read the UW System press release.
The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents approved Gary L. Miller’s appointment, following the recommendation made by President Ray Cross and a subcommittee of Regents. Miller begins August 1, 2014.
Miller will succeed Chancellor Thomas K. Harden, who announced in December 2013 that he intends to conclude his tenure as the University’s top administrator in August 2014 after serving in this capacity since June 1, 2009. Miller will be UW-Green Bay’s sixth chancellor.
