UW-Green Bay’s collaboration with DHS to provide the Certified Direct Care Program mentioned in White House panel

Wisconsin’s effort to recruit over 10,000 direct care professionals was mentioned in a White House panel on investing in home and community-based care. This ties back directly to UW-Green Bay through the partnership with DHS to provide the new and free Certified Direct Care Program, which aims to certify those 10,000 professionals and fill the workforce gap in caregivers. The panel took place on December 12 and Wisconsin is mentioned in the opening remarks.
